So, one of my friends is a big fan of Dynasty Warriors, especially the Gundam and Zelda editions. I never really played them, until I decided to give One Piece: Pirate Warriors a go. I liked it a lot, and it seemed like a perfect fit for the universe.

That got me thinking, at the risk of sounding overly nerdy, how awesome Jedi Warriors be? Mowing down hundreds of droids/stormtroopers, or clone troopers/rebels. Use different lightsaber/blaster combos and force powers. Pick your favorite Jedi/Sith or create your own. I dunno, once again, I feel like that kind of gameplay would be perfect fit for the Star Wars universe.

What franchise would you like to see get the Dynasty Warriors treatment?

I get the feeling KH2 wanted to be this with the Battle of the 1000 (Hearts?) but failed. Maybe KH3 could actually pull it off?

A Fairy Tail Warriors game has always been in my thoughts after playing Pirate Warriors. Just a bunch of people with magic destroying everything.

Another would be Marvel Warriors. Just imagine the beauty of playing as your favorite hero and destroying rank after rank of Ultron's robots or Skrull warriors, only to go in an epic final battle with their leader.

Warhammer 40k. If any IP can survive over the top voice acting, impenetrable plots, repetitive gameplay and enemy spamming, it'd be 40k.
Just make the enemy orks or tryanids and you're golden!

Halo Warriors.

It will be the first time Master Chief will play like an actual Spartan they describe in the lore. Shove The Arbiter, Tartarus, Guilty Spark, Truth, Spartans who specialise in other weapons, a Flood guy and fuck it - Marcus Fenix in there and it would be interesting.

Warhammer 40k would be an obvious one for me. Space Marine with less thought.

Personally though I've been toying recently with the idea of Dark Souls getting the treatment. Think about it: An actual super over the top dramatization of the tale of Chosen/Cursed Undead, or various lore events. Play as The Four Knights of Gwyn, Nito, Gwyn Himself, Solaire, Luctiel, Alonne, all the big guys, and you could have Chosen/Cursed use all the non-character-associated weapon types. I'd be totally up for that.

Have a skin for Cursed Undead of him shirtless and a version of the Avelyn that turns it into a machinegun, because they took his girl, now he'll take their souls.

They did fix that up a lot with the remake, at least.

The big problem with the original fight was that since goofy and Donald weren't with you, you couldn't use Drive forms, which took out a major game mechanic (and let's face it, all of us wanted to use Brave or Master form to just straight up massacre everything in that fight).

The remake introduces a new drive you can use solo which actually has some pretty decent AOE abilities like Sonic Rave and a giant blast finisher for your ground combo.

Still not a very "Deep" combat experience, but a lot more fun now that you're not just spamming reaction abilities to win.

Bravest Warriors~

OT: BeyBlade Warriors would really drive home the "tops destroying other tops with hidden beast abilities" concept of the first few series/seasons, at least...

Other than that, I could imagine a Regular Warriors in a self-awareness kind of way...

Lord of the Rings could do well with the Warriors spin.

And just for laughs: how about Pokemon Warriors!

wow. That is cheesy as hell, but I know I will probably be looking for episodes of that online somewhere just to see if it is as gloriously silly as it looks.

As for a warriors game, hmm. Like the Warhammer idea people tossed out already.

Moar Warriors Orochi would be a good start. WO3 is the best Warriors game I've played since Dynasty Warriors 3. It's got a huge pool of characters, a shit-ton of content with replayability and some of the most epic battles in the series. Yet for some reason the publisher doesn't want to make any more of that series.
Megami Tensei warriors might be cool (though that's a crossover that will never ever happen). Make it similar to Bladestorm perhaps, where you have a (demi) human character from the games, like the Demi Fiend or Serph with a squad of a few demons.
