A girl I like.

Hi guys, I have a question...

So I have been talking to this girl that I like (who also like me a lot), however she is 17... And I am 21.
Would you guys consider that weird? A 4 year age gap, is that too far?

EDIT: Live in the UK so 16+ is the legal age, be a different story if it was in the US, I am sure.

No it's not. Hold off on anything really intimate until she's 18, of course. But I don't see it as weird.

Cheers for the reply, have been looking at posts on "the student room" (uk site) and many people there say it's an acceptable age gap.

It is a perfectly fine gap, and as long as laws aren't against it intimacy shouldn't have boundaries from outside the relationship.
Do keep in mind that even a small age difference like that does create problems while still in the teen years, people are mostly figuring out what they want at that point and their ideals will go back and forth to a fairly large extent.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I didn't think it was that weird at all but it is good to hear I am not the only one who thinks that.

I don't know if this girl wants a relationship with me just yet but we will find out, if she doesn't, plenty more fish in the sea, right? Thanks again guys!

Just to update you guy; the girl I like and I have decided that it's best to stay just friends because I started to have very big doubts about dating a girl that young so I am glad to get this outcome!
