Metal Gear Solid. The second one alone will kill your brain. They straightened it out by the fourth one but. . . well you were not there for the years after the second one came out and even now there are people who are just lost. I mean it all does make sense but . . . you know what, just play the game, it will all make sense. (or not)

Edit: Don't skip to the fourth one. Play them in order.

If you dont mind old games then i would highly recommend sanitarium and system shock 2.

In sanitarium you play a man who, after a bad car wreck, wakes up in a asylum full of nutters with no memeory of who he is. It might sound cliched but trust me dont overlook this one,it was one of the only games that made me stop playing because it was so freakin scary and weird.

System shock 2 is just a masterpiece and the main reason the power box died on my pc as i kept switching it off from the wall whenever an enemy would try and brain me.

i would say that system shock 2 is the better game but if you can get both then you will be a very happy gamer indeed.

"The Polito unit no longer functions,"

SS2 is an excellent game for headfucks, no-one is really your friend, not even your own guns.

What was the point and click game that used H R Geiger artwork?
I think it was called Dark Sphere but can't be sure, that's pretty terrifying too.

Well, personally, I felt a bit mindfucked by Killer 7. Not from horror; such things have ceased to have any effect on me, but from sheer amount of bizarre. A slightly similar sensation might be induced by playing XIII.

I say Clock Tower for the SNES or Clock Tower for the PS1, just don't get the Struggle Within, it is BAD! Oh don't get Clock Tower 3 either. If you want a good game that plays like CT3, play Haunting Ground.
