A little confusion...

So I was looking for a new RPG to play on the PS2. I had heard the second Shadow Hearts game was pretty good so I went off to look for it. When I got to the store they had Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts: From the New World. Now I was confused and thought that FTNW was the second game and picked it up. Upon returning home I found out it is actually the "less" good third game in the series. I was wondering if it's even worth playing or if I should return it and get my money back.

Seriously though, I have played all 3 of the Shadow Hearts games. Shadows Hearts is great. Shadow Hearts 2 is absolutaly amazing. Shadow Hearts 3 shouldn't really be a part of the series. When I reccomend these games to my friends, I don't even mention that there is a third one. I just lend them my copies of the first two.

In short, its a really lousy game trying to cash in on the coattails of two really amazing games that came before it. My advice is take it back while you can still get a refund.

It is an awesome game. Keep it. I'm guessing you paid maybe $15 for it and it is far better than a trip or two to the movies.

Yeah, I did only pay $15 for it so it's not like it was a huge amount of money. The thing is since I haven't played the first two I have no expectation for the third one so I'll probably think it's OK since I don't have any other Shadow Hearts games to compare to.
