I want to know what movie you have seen that traumatised you. It could be Bambi and Bambi's mum famously taking a 338 Lapua to the frontal lobe, or it could be Saw... in general.

Me? I saw Antichrist. Willem Dafoe, Charlotte Gainsborough, 2 hours of mindrape. I highly recommend it to those with strong stomachs.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I watched the original when I was 12, it was the first time I'd spent the night in my house on my own and at first I was fine, but then I had a really intense stress dream. i woke up and believed my cat was trying to kill me, so I picked him up and put him down outside my room. I don't know for sure it was the movie, but nothing like that has happened before or since, so I assume it had something to do with it.

Zardoz starring Sean Connery. "The gun is good, and the penis is evil." Seriously check this one out.

The first Jurassic Park movie when I was a little kid. I saw it in theaters. The part where the guy gets snatched off the john makes me laugh at this point in time, but it scared the shit out of me back then. There was another movie that kind of screwed with me, but I can't remember the name. It had to do with this hero in a purple suit and a silver skull ring, and the bad guy was trying to collect these three mystical skulls to gain some kind of ultimate power. It was a great movie looking back on it, but it messed with me as a kid, especially the scene where a guy's eyes get gouged out by the blades hidden in the microscope's eyepiece. Looking back on it, that thing was sick, twisted, and frikkin' genius.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Freakin' Tim Curry...no other man could look so damn sexy in drag.

No homo.

Antichrist definitely.
Nothing really compares after that.
The loved ones did a pretty good job too

And saw VII for some reason...
I can handle the saw movies fine, but that one just made me really sad

I remember hiding under the blankets whenever T-Rex came on screen when I saw Jurassic Park at the drive in when I was a kid.

The other one would have beem watching The Butterfly Effect when it came out, I remember it freaking me out a lot and I wasn't even that young, probably like 15 or so... I rewatched it recently and actually found it quite good. I guess I found many of the scenes quite confronting when I first saw it.

If you don't move, they can't see you.

Also, Requiem for a Dream was like getting hit in the face with a board for two hours.

Watership Down messed me up a bit, I think. I saw it when I was around 5 years old back in 1984.

I don't think it's a kids movie.

LOL

The music makes it a bit epic, eh?
I remember that movie partially... That movie WAS NOT FOR KIDS!

Hrmm... ... ... Princess Mononoke. That movie is beautiful, but as a child when I first saw the demons I was scared out of my innocent yet fragile little mind! (I also had a daymare one time about a Digimon that was Demonized... Jesus christ... It was one of the first generation, Champion Level, was a dog... I forget names... DAMN YOU NAMES! Scared me right to sleep though so that was good, I couldn't sleep a wink for some reason.)

The first time I spent the night alone in my house I was around 10 and on HBO I caught the "original" remake of Night of the Living Dead. At the time I was super-sensitive to horror flicks but I couldn't stop watching it although I was terrified. Then Evil Dead 2 came on and somehow the slapstick horror was even more mind-screwing. I didn't even realize it was supposed to be kind of funny.

Those and the Libertine, for completely different reasons.

Nothing quite like being around the age of 4 and going to your great-grandparent's Christmas Eve to catch a showing of Deliverance...

Oh, yeah! I remember seeing that one late on HBO as well, wondering if I'd fallen asleep and was just dreaming a weird movie. Thank you for letting me stop doubting my sanity.

The movie version of Titus Andronicus from like, a decade ago.
When I saw it, I was at a point where I was too young to fully comprehend the story, but old enough to get all the horrors of what was occurring. Its visuals were wonderfully done, making it all the more emotionally gruesome.
In retrospect, I don't think the story's really all that great, but I'll be damned if they didn't make it into one of the most striking pieces of film I've ever seen.

The image of Lavinia after the brothers had had their way is still burned into my mind.

No I don't think it's a kids film either. The book is even worse and it was apparently a story the author made up on a long car journey to keep his kids entertained.

OT: When I was young I watched Gremlins while I had a massive fever that was making me hallucinate, you do the math lol.
