A question about Final Fantasy 12 International realease.

Why was this never released in the NA? Moreover why is this all around mechanically better version region locked so it CANT be played on NA consoles? I mean this version basically solves one of the main complaints (ie the license board being all the same).

I mean where is the big problem f just porting most (if not all) of the translation to the NA version of the game and kinda release it a "Remastered" version, or hell just release it by the same name.

I mean yea i know there is a crack out there, there is a crack for everything, but really i dont see how it can fail so horribly that they wont even consider re releasing it, even if it is just a digital copy or some such.

thats kinda how square is, not that i care about FF12 international, i hated FF12, but they have held back other games that turned out to be awesome.

ask a Monster Hunter fan about Capcom some times, they do the same to them

In Europe, we used to get even less ports of Japanese RPG's. Seems like it's getting somewhat better though.(heck, some recent games were released earlier in Europe than in North America)

Anyway, I get that it's annoying. My best guess would be that the western market can't sustain releases other than some more popular titles. They probably thought what practically is an altered re-release wouldn't do well enough.
Which reminds me, it must be terrible to be a fan of FPS games in Japan.

I agree completely, I really hope a HD collection of KH1+2+RE:COM comes out in Final Mix versions. Here's hoping for a Kingdom Hearts HD Collection!

Gotta love how all these Japanese gamemakers troll their fans who make the mistake of not being from Japan or knowing Japanese (I'm looking at you, Capcom!)

OT: Because FFXII wasn't received too well from Western fans at first, much like KHII. Still, SE has a tendency to not give us anything like that. Don't worry. I for see KHIII trying this same stunt and Operation Rainfall 2.0 going down.

I'd suggest emulating it, but I'm not sure of what the mods think of such practices. For what it's worth, I purchased a copy of FF12 before emulating it.

If suggesting the use of emulators and the like is frowned upon here, I apologize in advance.
