I've gotten into PC Gaming rather recently, seeing as neither the PS4 or Xbox One particularly interested me. So, I've already built a rig, but don't quite know what it's capable of yet.
I have:

CPU: AMD 6300 (Six-Core, 3.5Ghz)
GPU: Gigabyte R9 270 (2GB DDR5)
RAM: 8GB DDR3

So I ask you; What are some games that I should be able to push my hardware with, whilst still being entertaining? (Lately, I've been into a bit of Far Cry 3 and XCOM: Enemy Unknown/Within)

If you really want to see what your machine is capable of try something like Unigine Heaven [http://unigine.com/products/heaven/] or Unigine Valley. [http://unigine.com/products/valley/] They are not games but they will give a real time benchmark on your PCs 3D performance that you can compare to other machines, you can play around with the settings to give yourself an idea of how high you want to set your fidelty settings in a game.

If you want games that push your machine try,

-Metro: Last Light
-Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings
-Crysis 3
-Batman Arkham series

Those are some of the best looking and most resource intensive games around, Metro, Batman and Witcher are also great games in their own right and Crysis 3 is pretty fun but not as good as the other three. It is incredibly pretty though with some stunning lighting and particle effects, shame you have an AMD card though. Not there is anything wrong with them they are great cards and they are a nice price so no-one thing I am hating on them, you are missing out on PhysX though. It doesn't add a startling amount of detail but that extra bit of clothing and particle and debris effects and destructable enviroments [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luSAnouAFJs] do look pretty.
