Hey.

EDIT: I've tried Sins, and Spore.

Im looking for help finding (Assuming their existence) an rts which is set on planets and in space, but not in seperate missions.
Im talking, be on a planet, build a ship, press something to go into outer-space, invade another planet - etc.

Im guessing these don't exist, but anyway.

I've heard a lot of good things about Master of Orion...

And there is always Ogame.org if you are into that sort of very slow paced thing.

Star Trek "Birth of the Federation" is an absolutely AMAZING game. (if you like Star Trek anyway). Its really hard to find, but you basically control one of the main empires (pick from Federation, Romulans, Klingons, etc.) and build ships, develop planets and technology, use diplomacy, etc.

The closest I can think of is Sins of a Solar Empire. It spans multiple start systems and the basic premise is to build an army and expand your factions influence and territories in that area. It's quite complex once you get into it and it goes beyond the basic "make army, kill enemy" premise. You can't zoom in to a planet and micro-manage it but trust me when I'm telling you that this is a damn good substitute.

Well, Sins of a Solar Empire focuses on planets as sort of "cities", but there's no actual ground combat. It's practically all in space combat.

Empire at War has both planet based and space based combat, but it is treated as separate missions. I can't think of any games that includes all the features you listed, although that would be an awesome game.

I do remember an old game, it had land and space combat, but was a late 2D game. Pretty much what I described.

Can't name it tho

I don't think such a game exists, as you would have to preform multiple planetary battles as well as space battles at the same time. This would be impossible for a human being.

Maybe there is something in the turn-based rts niche though. I can see it work there.

Actually, a WC3 game; Solar Conquest does this

I'm pretty sure Homeworld is the flagship of "RTS in Space", but it's definitely not for the faint of heart, and is in full 3d.

Metal Fatigue has an "Orbit" layer but it's mostly just used for placing solar panels... still, it's an underappreciated gem.

No, spore is not an RTS.

Anyway, Homeworld (old)'
Homeworld 2(Old, but this just means it's cheap and there are heaps of great mods.)
