For those of you (like me) who saw the Meet the Spy video, I thought that the movie was amazing. It had an awesome feel, cool action, and witty humor.

So I was just thinking, if valve decided to work with say... Pixar or something to produce a feature length film, would you see it? I'm talking about 2 hours or so of nothing but content similar to all the meet the classes videos.

Mind you, this thread isn't serious and I don't really see it happening or anything, but if they managed to make a Doom film (that I thought sucked balls) is it too far in speculation to produce a full length TF2 movie? Here's hoping they do so before I die!

UH sorry but how the fuck would it work?
Dude, we're talking about a company that made movies about a lost fish, a bunch of toys, and a superhero family drama. It couldn't be that hard for them.

Ya but does TF2 have a story line I totally missed or what?

I hate to play the Nazi card, but this thread already exists.

Anyways, I don't think a feature-length film would be the best venue for this particular idea. Personally, I'd say a Robot Chicken length mini-series would be the best option. That way they could put a comprehensive plot behind it, but have each episode kept short, punchy, and fresh.

Meh, if you want to see something like that watch Red vs Blue. Theres hours and hours of hilarity to be found.

Sorry bout the second thread, I searched it up but didn't find anything on it :p. Also the Youtube link is a little harsh no? :D

Anyway, I mean a story with actual plot, and guess 2 hours is a bit long. However, this is just a speculation thing I had without knowing there was already a thread on it so I do apologize.

Ya I guess it would work they would just have to have a decent story which isn't hard. Here's a good plot red wants to kill blue and vice versa.

Oh and yes, I love RvB, and own the full DVD set ordered off of their website.

I hope they don't while I still live.
As awesome as Team Fortress is, it just doesn't have the necessary content for a full-length film. As has been previously said, just watch Red Vs Blue.

... I don't see how it would work with there being 9 classes, and they're all the same. It'd make no sense. Now I'd like to see this happen, but... I just don't.

Hmm I see many people are quite negative on the idea, due to lack of plot! However I think that this isn't a SERIOUS problem, as plots are as common as rocks. Hell every day of my boring life is a plot. I can think of a quick and dirty one right now in fact.

The two factions that rule all corporations (red and blu) and governments around the world has run into a problem. It turns out that in the midst of all their fighting a third faction named purple have decided that their time to move in was now! Can red and blu work together to stop this evil force?

Yeah terrible idea but it took me like 2 min to think it up. As shown in the Meet the Spy vid, having the same member of a team in two different factions did seem to work out okay, and them being a super secret awesome group of mercenaries could seem pretty cool on the big screen... but again purely speculation, and not expecting it to happen anytime soon.

Judging from Meet the... are pretty good, it might work.

The Spy one REALLY proves my point. That could even be a small portion of the movie.

No, just NO. Valve is a "less is more" company and that's why we love the Meet the Team videos so much. Put it on the big screen and it's an hour long Meet the Team that will bore you to death.
