As many of you know, Liam Neeson (the voice of your "Dad" James in Fallout 3) lost his wife last night. She died from the results of a head injury she incurred in a ski accident. My group is sending their deepest sympathy to Liam via Bethesda Soft. I hope any Fallout 3 fans on this site will send their sympathy as well.

Sorry to hear about his loss. My father almost lost his life in a skiing accident - he was wearing a helmet, and while skiing down the mountain, he lost balance, fall down and hit his head. When he later looked at the helmet, it had a small (cough cough) crack on it.

Still, he had a massive headache after that...

His wife wasn't wearing a helmet. She was on the beginner slopes. She did get up laughing and talking just fine, then got a headache. Next thing you know she was on life support and brain dead. They had two young children, I think 12 and 13 years old. His wife played the part of the mother in the remake of "Parent Trap," I was a fan of hers as well.

That's why I feel sorry for them. I mean, if my father wasn't wearing a helmet either, my mom would be a widow.

That's really scary!

I don't want to seem uncaring, but how is this a tragedy at bethesda soft? I'm aware that Liam Neeson worked for them on Fallout 3, but this is hardly Gaming Discussion, or having anything to do with Bethesda.

Well, Bethesda Soft is accepting postings on Liam's behalf, I'd say they will be forwarding them along to him. I think Bethesda feels Liam is a part of them. Sorry if I posted in the wrong spot, I thought it was connected.

I don't think it's a tragedy at Bethesda. 99% of people working there probably never met her.

Maybe not, but they do know him.

True, but I doubt they wanted her to die, either. So it's tragic in the "I know it's hard, friend" type of way.

Here is what Bethesda Soft wrote:

"We have had the honor of getting to work with some great and talented people in our line of work. Talented actors willing to lend their voices to our projects and bring something extra to our characters and games. Liam Neeson was one of those people, and his work on Fallout 3 was terrific. Not only did he do a great job, but he just couldn?t be a nicer guy. Professional in every sense of the word, really wanted to understand the role and the game?one of the really ?good guys.?

We were saddened to learn of the terrible accident his wife, Natasha Richardson, was in two days ago. It has now been reported that she has since passed away from head injuries related to that accident. Our prayers and thoughts go out to Liam and his two sons and their families as they deal with such a devastating loss."

That pic is from the Bethesda files, so it appears they have met her.

I agree. From what Pete Hines wrote, everyone there thought very highly of Liam.

That's bad news.
My mum's a fan of her stage work actually.
Hope Liam's ok, he's a great actor.
