I'm trying to suit up my car for the impending zombie apocalypse (What? It'll happen, just wait...), and I'm a wee bit stumped as to what to add to my car to make it suitable for the zombie apocalypse, whether it's a flamethrower attached to the sides of the car, or a collection of weapons in the trunk, or armor plating. The thing is, I'm just really lost as to what I should add.

Any ideas?

I would be rather surprised if anybody knew what movie this vehicle was from.
Well you got me beat. Cookie?

OT : I dunno. Cut a hole in the roof and mount a LMG. Sounds like a plan.

Steel Tracks instead of tires, Solar powered electric/ethanol hybrid engine, Mesh metal over windows. The car itself IS a weapon, so I wouldn't worry about supplementing that too much. Armor plating is a bit over the top, but truck-bed liner spray for all those squishy, goopy collisions during the 6 months it takes the dead to decay into uselessness wouldn't go amiss.

Flamethrower probably over-rated since Zombies are immune to pain, plus it's really, really impractical on a moving vehicle in any direction except backwards, which is probably the least important direction if you're in a car. Also fuel for Flamethrower could simply be used to drive car away from/over Zombies.

Collection of Personal Weapons for use when out of car would probably be better placed in passenger seat. Also seperate front and back seats with lexan like they do in Cabs in case you're feeling merciful enough to pick up some sidekicks who probably-are-but-might-not-be-infected and are really hot/funny.

Stripes of course!.

OT: I'd say a real military issue Hummer would be ideal. Either that or a APC. A bus with added armor would be good too, if only for a lot of people. I'd say what you'd REALLY want in a vehicle is good mileage and extreme durability in terms of the chassis and engine/components. On that hand, the indestructible truck from that one Top Gear might work too.

Well, if you want to look at things from a practicle standpoint.......anything with a wedge snowplow blade, lots of torque, and good traction. Not very exciting but it'll get the job done.
