So I'm about...4 weeks late to this party but I only just bought an SD card for my Switch today! Most of the games I'm playing on it are physical carts but since Yooka-Laylee is coming out soon and I know of several other big games coming out soon that will likely be digital only, I figured that now would be a good time to pick up a memory card. I didn't get anything huge, just a 64GB but at this point I imagine that will be more than enough for the rest of the year, especially since I see myself sticking with physical cards for the bigger titles.

The problem I'm facing at the moment though is that I don't know how to get my software onto the card itself. I've played around in the menu and found out how to get screenshots onto the card (even defaulting to that option so now screencaps will go straight there). The problem is, I don't see how I'm able to get game software or even game saves onto the SD card...I've experimented with Snipperclips: I archived and re-downloaded it only to find that it went back onto the console...so I deleted it and tried again to redownload it only to see that it's gone right back onto the console instead of the SD card...

So TL;DR - What gives? Will games software automatically be stored on the SD card once I max out the system memory or do I have to go into the games themselves and find the option to have that stuff save onto the SD card instead of the system memory?

Figured it out! Never mind guys, false alarm!!
