First off i'm Irish and i have been playing online for god knows how long
but only since i have played modern warfare 2 have i realised how many idiots play games nowadays

I literally join a lobby with my friends and no sooner have i said a word i get decended upon by brits or americans sayin oh look an irishman that can work the internet or other clearly well reserched insults or the british that
repeatedly call us idiots because of pre 1890s and sing ronan keetan to me.

karaokee aside i have never got so stressed playin a recreational activity then i have with mod 2 its as if once you can only hear a voice its alright to be racist or just a tool.

Now i am all for trash talk, christ i'm guilty of slagging someone over xbox myself but i never called a brit or a yank an idiot or bad at life for no reason generally they have to prove it for me to act up which as i said is within the first few seconds of talkin to them
so the message im tryin to say is that if your gonna be a spa over Xbox dont bring racism into it because it really dosen't matter if your black white asian latino or from wherever because there is a million other things to slag people over but the colour of your skin and where you live should just be outta bounds so your ethnic background aside if your bad at the game or just do somethin really stupid you deserve to be slagged but it really shouldnt matter about where your from because your just gonna be bad at the game so slag people about that and give over the online racism because if you think your being funny there is about 10 other people that think your a spa and clearly the attension seeker you are wont be able to handle people muting you all the time!!!

so just enjoy the game and only slag when people are bad, being an idiot or defending someone just dont be a retard and do it unprovoked because you people will die alone and unloved

but on that note if you ever hear an irish junkie playin xbox its the funniest think you will ever hear seriously get the family around its hours of free entertainment and is much cheaper then disney land

Americans catch it from everyone else for being American, everyone else catches it from us for not being American, and absolutely everyone catches it from 12 year olds, who believe "racism" is basically the same as "swearing" and will call me every name but whiteboy if I beat them in a match.

Yeah I don't talk on Xbox Live unless I'm with my group of friends. Especially with MW2. Never have I seen a worse community. Racists, bigots, people just looking for arguments, it's fucking bullshit. I expect Americans to take the piss out of my accent, it's a national perk. I find that the most vocal players on XBox Live, are Americans who use the anonymity of it to just rag on anyone else of a different culture or accent. I've heard them rag on Brits mostly, but when I said I was Canadian once, I got a straight round of people screaming at me because of it. Fortunatly I find that these people are the minority now, but they don't seem it because of how vocal they are.

I wish more people I played with had accents! I find them delightful to listen to. In fact, it's a bit of a handicap for me, since I'm too busy listening to the accent to concentrate on shooting someone in the head. But I know what you are talking about. I can't even play on Xbox live anymore with random people. As a gamer of the female variety, I hear some things I wouldn't even repeat to my pet. There are some nasty little fuckers out there.

There are a few decent players I've met online, but not enough for me to endure the verbal abuse of someone who has the wit and wisdom of a daffodil.

Just to give ye the big picture my cousin from Manchester(irish family) was ambushed by a load of "IRA"(or dubliners) giving him shite over being english.

I would be honored to play with an Irishman. I have Irish blood from my mother's side, and Ireland is the only country I would like to visit. I enjoy playing with people from other countries, they different ways people call "toilets" and what not.
