I have discussed it with a few people now and I have come to the conclusion that everyone has at LEAST one accent they find irresistible. My girlfriend for example likes the Scottish, where as I like the Welsh accent (Hint to any Welsh girls :p) so which accents do you like? (I would add a poll but there are far too many options)

If I like the person, I'll find their accent charming no matter what it is. (Unless it's difficult to understand them.)

Example: my SO has a southern accent, which I love. I used to dislike southern accents because I, like most people, associated them with conservative hicks. I'm kind of annoyed with myself for feeling that way now.

I have two accents: one is a proper accent and the other could get me in trouble but I'll post it anyway.

The proper accent is australian...going off of Sam from Gears 3 if she is australian

The one that could get me in trouble is any girl talking while she plays with herself.

English accents are often seen as attractive, so I have a handicap in choice, since I am English and one of the more posher sounding. So I don't find it that interesting, except when amungst Americans, where it stands out.

But I recently met a Canadian girl on the internet who says she actually says things like aboot, so I may find that cute.

English girl's accents are astounding first off, and next I would say Russian.

This forum makes me upset to be American.

What are you talking about? its in the correct Forum actually.

OT, I like the Irish Accent, and the American accent, being French myself I love hearing French people speak English as well.

I enjoy that inner city London cockney accent (I'm not English, I don't know specific accents in England) and the Australian accent. Unfortunately almost all of the Canadians I have met sound almost identical to the Midwestern broadcaster accent.

While I wouldn't call it attraction, I've always enjoyed that when Russians speak English they never say "the".

French I've always thought was a bit overrated, but pretty much anything from the UK sounds pretty good to me. I especially love the way that Brits say the word "literally," I have no idea why.
