Accessing Pokemon Black online capabilities on a 3DS

I've been trying to get Pokemon Black to connect to a WPA2 connection through my 3DS. Every time I attempt it I get an error message saying the access point is incompatible, though when testing without the game it connects very easily.

Is there a tutorial or something for this? Because Google has said it's possible and plenty of people seem to have done it without any problems, but any explanations as to how it is done seem to be a complete mess.

I have a DSi and Black/White, I have no problem conecting to the network. What I did was get the network settings right in the DSi settings. If you have a password fo to advanced settings. Check the web browser to see it works. If it works and Black still won't connect to the Internet play closer to your router.
