I take it that most of you, like me, don't buy into horoscopes or fortunes or anything like that. You know they're written as generally as possible, and they're usually applicable to everyone. You pick any generic advice phrase at random, put it under a star sign or in a fortune cookie, and get paid for it, yeah? We all know how this works.
But, just for fun, I have to ask if you've ever gotten one fortune or horoscope - just one - that, by chance, happened to be uncannily appropriate? You happened to get one that coincidentally fit exactly right with something that had happened that very same day in your life? Or, maybe, by contrast, have you ever got a horoscope or fortune that was the exact opposite of what was happening, to the point of being comical?
The example that inspired this topic is pretty simple. I got a Twittascope saying something about "You may feel overly confident in your improved financial situation" yadda yadda. Anyway, it just so happened that I got this horoscope on exactly the same day that I received my first paycheck for my brand spanking new job, after a significant period of looking for work, meaning that, for the first time in a while, I was happy that I finally had money! Well played, Twittascope. You win this round, but I'm still beating you about 200-1 for this year.
Anyway, the timing of that particular horoscope was so incredibly coincidental that I couldn't help but laugh. I thought it was pretty funny. I wondered if anyone else out there had something similar happen at some point. So, have you?
