Activision adds Supply Drops and CoD Points to Modern Warfare Remastered

Well, its' happened; MWR now has the dreaded CoD Supply Drops and CoD points.


For right now, they're only cosmetic items AND they're only thematically appropriate things for MWR - things like other real-world camos and alternate but realistic skins for weapons. They even have the ability to unlock alternate soldiers, including females, but with the same game properties as the default models.

While like Driftor I'm not against the cosmetic items especially when thematic, this has gone poorly in every CoD game in the past (AW, BO3 and now IW).

Call of Duty : Global Offensive. This is an awful idea (To me, honestly, everyone is entitled to their own opinion), but oh well, everyone that's 16 and younger would probably use their parents Credit Cards to access these wonderful cosmetic items. It just looks like the people who throw out most of the newer Call of Duty games want more money, not that they don't make enough already.

I was going to buy MWR when it became a stand-alone release, because let's face it, that's an inevitability.

Now I think I'll just save the money.

Maybe if people stopped being ok with this, then they wouldnt happen. And while I stay steadfast in being opposed to this since the very start, many people have fallen under "Oh, its just cosmetics".

Speaking as a PC player, the remaster was completely pointless anyway. I've been replaying the original for a month now. I just hate all the no camping servers.

I'm very impressed with the remaster. Besides the great job with the remastering, they actually bothered to add things such as cancelled levels and new game modes and camos.

That said, I aint buying it. I already hate that they are adding microtransactions, but the shit you get from them is horrible! A fucking broken beer bottle as a knife? Just fuck off.
