For those of you who haven't heard, Activision recently announced Variety map pack dlc for Modern Warfare Remastered.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcuSPrKFIvI

Same maps from the original game, still need to own special editions that includes MWR to access it, and finally, NOT part of the season pass.

What do you guys think? Is this surprising? Is Activision getting more greedy? Or have they always been this way?

I don't know who "Us" is. Last time I purchased an Activision published product was... around 2004 actually. Rome: Total War, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, and Star Wars: Jedi Academy. Oh, and I guess I could include the first Call of Duty.

They've almost only published shovelware after they shifted their focus onto the Xbox/360 platform.

And no, it isn't the least bit surprising. Activision has been very much a sinking ship for a while, and I've not seen any indication that they have any intention to change that.

The total war series is published by activist on? Damn, I guess I have bought an activist on game in the last fifteen years. Damn. I'm still holding strong on EA and Ubisoft though. It's easy when they don't make good games.

Yes, and it was a pretty big improvement. They made it less linear and added more spelunking and checkpoints.

My suggestion. Stop buying their games. The last one I bought was Diablo 3, and that was only because my friends wanted someone to play with. And its one step removed via Blizzard
