I'm watching the NFL Playoffs right now and as ESPN has stated, two QBs in the games today are going to their playoff games with limiting injuries (Aaron Rodgers with a calf injury and Peyton Manning with....something. People seem to be assuming he's hurt and ESPN states Thigh).

Which got me to thinking...why don't injuries like this get added to Madden (yes, go ahead and make your "They're all the same dur hur hur" jokes now or be really original and ask why I'm talking about handegg). In the Madden games, your players are either injured and out or they are a perfect bill of health. In fact, you could put this same knock on most sport games. I suppose they have this to a tiny degree if your guy gets hurt mid-game but I want that to affect more than one game.

Do you play your hurt QB in the big game (and risk a career ruining injury like RGIII allegedly)? Do you sit him out and hope you can get it done with who you have? Is a hobbled Nick Folk a better option than a fully healthy Michael Vick? The risk/reward system that could be introduced would make the games much better for people playing in franchises with their buddies (like me!).

So look at your game of choice and add a feature! Steal it from another game if you want or be inspired from real life like me.

I'd add the voice of Bill from Left 4 Dead, juuuuust about loud enough in the background for people to make out a muffled voice that could be coming from a room on the floor above, or behind a nearby wall, occasionally shouting helpful things like, "Don't be an ass" and "SHUTTUP, YOU GODDAMN BIRDS! HORSE-SHIT GODDAMN BIRDS!"

...And if people don't like that then fuck 'em; I've had my fun and that's all that matters.

Run and gun in Tomb Raider reboot. Freedom of movement in that game is amazing and unprecedented, so I don't understand why Crystal Dynamics decided that Lara could only shoot after going into aim mode. Running and being able to shoot with extremely decreased accuracy should have been an option and I hope they add that in the sequel.

Shooting while climbing would be good as well. Uncharted does it and it gives you a lot of freedom and versatility in terms of cover. It's tons of fun to hang off a billboard and use it as cover while you're shooting down at enemies on the ground, and it would have been useful in Tomb Raider to be able to hang off the sides of cliffs and buildings while shooting.

You know that guy who popped up in the lower corner of the screen when you did an uppercut in Mortal Kombat? Add him pretty much any game.
hahaha, yes.

I think having somekind of chapter select in singleplayer games would be cool. You can easily replay your favourite parts of the story, or your favourite boss, cinematic, etc.

Shadow of the Colossus
I made a new save for every colossus just so I could quickly re-experience the battles.

I am sure this will cause me no amount of grief but a voice for the Gray Warden in Dragon Age Origins. I love DA:O and can still play and enjoy it but if my Wardens had say FemSheps voice it would make the game even better for me. Or the cockney voice from Saints Row 3 and 4 for when I play a Rogue.

In fact just have the cockney voice from Sr 3 and 4 replace all male voice acting just for a laugh. Imagine the scene in Devil May Cry below with the cockney voice. Or playing as Ezio with the cockney voice. It would be epic.

Call of Duty would massively benefit from a health meter ala the Battlefield series. I would love to see what percent I've got left when my screen is filled with raspberry jam (or pinkeye, take your pick) to see whether my health has bothered regenerating yet. Plus in Zombies it would help me given that the regenerating health is so inconsistent in there.

In X-Com: Enemy Unknown (and its expansion) I would love to be able to train Soldiers to have them advance in ranks, instead of making it so fighting enemies is the ONLY way they can get better and level up. They could make it so that training costs money and makes it so you can't use those troops for a while, but they can get trained, maybe even only to a certain extent. It would make much more sense, and make it way easier to take rookies into combat without having them get waxed immediately in the later parts of the game.

Add better damage models for Burnout Revenge or Burnout Paradise.... they're good as they are, but some part of me feels like it could be more crazy....

In Guilty Gear Xrd, have separate animations for all of the characters when they're speaking English, so the lips sync with the speech.

Also, make Sol Badguy try less hard to sound hardcore.

I'd add a better AI for Civilization 5, because man the AI's dumb sometimes.

Last game I played, Pachacuti declared war on me (because he's an ass like that, tends to go for those "weaker" than him. Though because the AI is kinda rubbish at this whole war-thing, I fended off his attack with ease. Then I retaliated, mostly because I'd already been building up to attack him, but he was quicker to declare war. Some 20 rounds later, no more backstabbing douchebagging asshat that settles on MY rightful property! The other AI's didn't like me very much after that, but I think he deserved it. That's another option I'd add, make the AI understand why I did it, and make them realise that they're not in danger of being invaded by me.

Better companion AI in the battlefield 4 singleplayer, and while i know that it's mostly aimed at multiplayer, i would just like them to recognize and shoot the one enemy that runs through the group when we're huddled in a corner waiting for my health to regenerate. I just hate dieing like that, not only because i died and have to go through that segment with the 5 tanks again, but because it really kills immersion.

Content to destiny.

The gameplay of any of the previous Killzones to killzone: shadowfall. I was really disappointed with that game, because i was expecting shadowfall to be like all the other killzones and not metal gear solid on an Insane difficulty.

A separate ranking and play system to Hearthstone for people who play without credit cards. Because, while still on a low level, i keep getting paired up to players who just play one legendary card after another.

A mod that would let me use the combat system of FF 7,8,9 or 10 to any of the recent Final Fantasy games. I'd like to play them, but i don't even want to get started on learning to use the needlessly complicated combat system. I like slow, turnbased rpgs like that.

An actual personality to protagonists in Persona. Everyone else has one, after all. And not the Commander Shephard brand of personality. An actual personality. Add this to every silent protagonist, actually.

All of your characters should gain experience in FF7, even if they're not in use. That's one thing 13 got right.

Add 15 minutes to the end of FF7.

Cut 15 minutes from the end of Mass Effect 3.

More interesting companions in Bethesda games. New Vegas did it, and now I expect better from you Bethesda. There's no excuse for not including this, other than laziness.

Spec Ops: The Line was wonderful, but I kept questioning the lack of robot dinosaurs in fully destructible environments. I feel like this would have added a lot of depth to the game, and furthered the pacing and themes into unexplored territories. Also, replace the psychologically upset protagonist with a cute, bikini clad woman who specializes in the use of Katanas. We could then explore the horrors of war, as symbolized by the scene where Lugo trips and his face plunges headfirst into your cleavage. Then he can't escape, and he suffocates, at which point the protagonist breaks down and cries over his lifeless body, and begins questioning mans inhumanity toward man before winning a wet t-shirt contest.

As a fellow XCOM general [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Tippy2k2-s-XCOM-Army-Let-s-Play], I love that idea.

During my "Let's Play", that wasn't a big problem in the beginning but as soon as you start losing troops later on, it becomes incredibly difficult to climb your way back up. Having the ability to get some rookies even a small jump (like snipers since they are virtually useless until you get your preferred 1st perk) would have done wonders to help.

There's two or three. Problem is that they don't really DO anything with them. I mean for fuck's sake look at Daud.

Or at least be able to train them up to Captain, so at least they don't start out as cannon fodder when you're fighting sectopods.
