for those that haven't hung around Cartoon Network, Adventure Time is an upcoming TV show based on an online animated short about a kid named Finn, a young adventurer who teams up with a talking dog named Jake, who can stretch himself Mr. Fantastic style, and they both go on adventures in the land of Ooo.
whoever named a land 'Ooo' must be either work-shy, or bizarrely originality obsessed.
Anyway, I watched a sneak-peak of the show on-demand, and I enjoyed it.
it seems to do thing webcomic-like, which is a welcome edition to the cartoon industry in my opinion. the Adventure Time world seems well varied, with random, yet colorful elements, based on promotion and that sneak-peak episode I saw, there's a giant that eays dogs, a pruple cloud princess that strangly speaks in a male voice, and a point where Finn and Jake melt blocks of ice with flamethrowers to get treasure that's encased in them.
after seeing that sneak peak, I think Cartoon Network has essentially sold me on their upcoming show and made it nicely clear they're not strcitly focused on bland CGI shows (I.E: Chop Socky Chooks*) and redundant, and rather plot-holed future timelines (I.E: Ben 10: Alien Force*)
