Advice With Dark Souls

Hey guys and gals,
I just bought Dark Souls and so far Im having a great time with the game and have managed thus far to not die
I just escaped the undead asylum and am taking my first tentative steps into the Undead Burg, which is certainly not lacking for undead, although for burgs I couldn't be so sure, I presume it isn't short for burger
Anyway enough rattling on, I have one problem with the game - theres no other bloody people around.
No ghosts, no messages, no bloodstains - anything
I live in Brisbane Australia so my question to you is this, are there no ghosts and messages coz no ones playing Dark Souls in my region or because I need to activate some thing or do some internet mumbo jumbo trickery
And yes I am connected to Xbox Live
I'd appreciate any help

Well, according to what my time thing says, you are playing at 2:09 in the AM. I'm too lazy to look up the hour change, but you might want to consider playing in the afternoon?

Also, you connection needs to be fairly consistent, and you need a Gold membership (just to get that out of the way.)

Don't worry about it, though. They should be popping up after a while. Dark Souls is infamous for its shoddy multiplayer elements.

Well, from the way I understand it, you get placed in a random lobby every time you start playing.

So if you leave the game and boot it back up, it will put you in another lobby and you should see some messages.

i live in Brisbane AUS and had no problem with it.

- Are you connected to the internet?

- (If on 360) have you got Gold membership?

- Are you playing at a time, when others would be playing?
