So over the summer which realistically wasn't that long ago I was able to play an MMO, run several websites in alt tab, keep Skype open, Steam, and a recording program.

I recently reformatted my laptop again since I like saying "Alright let's start over again."


I am lagging to the point the game crashes before it loads, was wondering if anyone had any ideas since it is literally the only process besides explorer.exe running at this point.


Game is Forsaken World even though I know a lot of people here hate it. I'd rather fix this before it ends up happening with other games, and yes I also know I need to get a new computer at some point x.x.

- Update your drivers
- Clean the dust out of your computer
- Check to see if any of your parts are failing (My harddrive started to fail and caused a similar problem)<------ my guess
- Check for viruses
- Defrag

Seeing as it is a laptop, I'd immediately do a drive fitness test on it. Bumping around laptops can cause a lot of read errors on the hard drive, which would then need to be replaced. Your laptop company should have a good one to use. Long loading lag and crashing are a good indicator of hard drive problems.
