Now, everyone has said about a lot of MMOs since WoW came out 6 odd years ago, that the new MMO will kill WoW, however WoW cannot be killed, Everquest 1 is still going for God's sake! However, do you think Aion will put a serious dent in WoW?

I'd like it to, to me WoW has gone on long enough, people who played it from the start, like meself, are either bored or spending their whole lives "pwning n00bs" so to speak, it all needs to begin anew.

Nothing will stop the juggernaught that is WoW in my opinion.

But I still play Eve out of spite!

I think that anything scoring 2/3 of the Chinese WoW players in Asia alone has a chance to put a dent in it.

However, Aion is for the people who like PvP. And not just carebear arena PvP, where you don't have to worry about a group of Asmodians running through your level 20+ areas. If you do, then it's not the game for you.

...Unless you play as a Cleric, nobody wants to fight with them in less than 2 vs 1. Bloody impossible for almost anyone to kill.

There was quite a lengthy thread on this before I believe.

I doubt that Aion will do much damage to WoW, many have already tried and failed.

No, with china back Blizzard is once again the Disney of gaming. But it can be fun if you wanna see. There are MMO's for all people boring=Eve, Grinding=WoW, Everything else=WoW

But I'm sure it will be successful in its own right, though I'm personally holding out for The Old Republic.
Exactly. I don't see why anyone thinks anything will "kill" WoW other than WoW itself. It will eventually fade out like all other games, most likely after they are finished with expansions, possibly through a self-destructive path it has already taken steps on. Aion, and even The Old Republic, will not damage WoW in the slightest. Anyone who switches from one to another will simply be replaced by a new WoW player. It's the way of things.

Well on pvp server in wow you get people running through your 30+ areas killing you although it's alot more fun when you have a level 80 to 'hunt' them down and kill them... and maybe camp them.
