The only level I couldn't beat as a kid was the 2nd to last level IIRC that had you going into a cave and out a different one and you needed to know the correct order. I always hated that type of level and it's why I also never beat SMB1 as a kid because of the pipes in the last castle. If anyone thinks Dark Souls is actually hard, then they haven't played many legit difficult games.hanselthecaretaker said:Super Ghouls n Ghosts is also far more difficult than pretty much any modern action game by default. Not that such a comparison even means much to begin with though.Phoenixmgs said:Finally!!! I always tell people who claim Dark Souls is hard to play The Lion King and get back to me.
Yes we are all well aware that you?re a master gamer, but even for people who grew up with tough games, Dark Souls was a breath of fresh air because it harkens back to the days where you had to ?figure it out for yourself? instead of just dropping the difficulty like damn near everything else lets you do the last couple generations.
Even then like you said it?s not nearly as bad, because Dark Souls gives you way more options on how to proceed than those older games ever did. Red Dead Redemption 2 is another good example of how a game can be completely beatable but still offer far more difficulty through the various medal challenges vs just throwing a difficulty select on the title screen.
