Finally!!! I always tell people who claim Dark Souls is hard to play The Lion King and get back to me.
Super Ghouls n Ghosts is also far more difficult than pretty much any modern action game by default. Not that such a comparison even means much to begin with though.
I realize The Lion King is not one of the hardest games by any means, which is why I kinda use it as an example. It's a difficulty that is tough but very doable. The only level I couldn't beat as a kid was the 2nd to last level IIRC that had you going into a cave and out a different one and you needed to know the correct order. I always hated that type of level and it's why I also never beat SMB1 as a kid because of the pipes in the last castle. If anyone thinks Dark Souls is actually hard, then they haven't played many legit difficult games.

Yes we are all well aware that you?re a master gamer, but even for people who grew up with tough games, Dark Souls was a breath of fresh air because it harkens back to the days where you had to ?figure it out for yourself? instead of just dropping the difficulty like damn near everything else lets you do the last couple generations.

Even then like you said it?s not nearly as bad, because Dark Souls gives you way more options on how to proceed than those older games ever did. Red Dead Redemption 2 is another good example of how a game can be completely beatable but still offer far more difficulty through the various medal challenges vs just throwing a difficulty select on the title screen.

I was disappointed by Souls because it wasn't that at all, there's very little to figure out. The monkey section alone in The Lion King has more to figure out than the entirety of Souls. Souls just has the one trick to it and requires very little skill execution because of how slow the enemies are.

Yeah but weren't those games not good?
Haven't played Aladdin.
The Lion King sucks. Very pretty graphics and a nice midi version of the movie's OST but the difficulty is dumb, dumb, dumb.

Why do I get the feeling slapping some extra features to two scaled up ROMs isn't going to sell well?

Actually, if you look carefully at the box art at the end, we're getting "The Loin King."
I'm sure Nala enjoyed Simba being between her loins, if you know what I mean...
Great, now I have the Between the Lions theme stuck in my head, but with the words "loins" instead of "lions"...
