New trailer for 'Alan Wake' (360/Vista).

Finally! So what does everyone thinks ? Looks interesting, although the drama/acting comes of wrong somewhat. Still, that plot just screams potential. We'll see if it delivers or even we have another Indigo Prophecy on our hands.

It looked pretty good, but this trailer didn't tell me anything about the plot that I could discern and as far as I can tell didn't include a single frame of game footage. It's definately not anything that I'll be judging the game on, or even basing predictions on.

It's Remedy.

Just to clarify: we didn't actually see any in-GAME (as what the game plays like in motion) footage of Max Payne until 2001, right before release.

But I trust that they'll deliver. They did so with Max Payne and its sequel. They like to polish their game as much as possible, but they sure as hell aren't 3DRealms.

Its in-game footage taken from the cut-scene moments, they had the game running 2 years ago and apart from his weird walking animation the game looks no different.
Yeah, it's in-engine, but no hints of how the game actually plays. I think that's what he means, anyway.

I've been watching Alan Wake for some time now, after how good the Max Payne was i'm looking forward to it. I'm annoyed that they still want to make it Vista only, thats a joke because every game that has tried to do that so far has failed.

That is clearly in-game footage, they had the game running about a year ago or more to promote Intel Core 2 Quad technology. They had a guy then playing a demo of it.
I'm not saying that I don't believe the graphics actually look like that; I'm saying that I'm not seeing a single frame where the player is actually in control of the game, unless the entire game takes place with the camera zoomed close in on Wake's hand. My complaint here is that this trailer tells me very little about the plot, and much more importantly tells me absolutely nothing about how the game will actually play, and since I play games for the games rather than to watch the cutscenes, this is an issue for me.

Maybe they have a history of it, but I'd still like to see what the game looks like while I'm actually playing it. Like I say, who wants to watch all the cutscenes? It's a game, not a movie.
