when i saw a small gameplay on Alan Wake i just had to think "hay this looks like alone in the dark" only a huge uppdate of the game, but comon you cant say that it dosnt look like it. but still it isn't the same but i, yes i liked Alone in the dark "exept the gameplay" but as i was saying, but i really liked the Alone in the dark style the really super apocalyptic style, but i bet that it isn't like that in the Alan wake game. okay but the point is that it looks like Alone in the dark and thats a good thing. i think many people dont like that so im going to screw with more people by saying Halo ODST has ripped of another game!!!

At first I was thinking that you must be on something because Alone in the Dark was made in 1992 and the graphical style was mostly large triangles. Then I remembered that there was a recent remake and you were probably talking about that. I actually saw Alan Wake before the remake so if anything it's the other way around for me.

Alan Wake looks like more of a mix of Max Payne and Resident Evil 4. Maybe even Silent Hill 2.

Alan wake has been in production for like 4 years. Alone in the dark was probably like 8 months work

I'm just a little bit surprised that Alan Wake is still actually coming out, I did indeed think it had been canned.

Here's hoping it'll be worth the wait, was quite interested in this one when I first heard about it.

It looks similar, but I think Alan Wake actually has a shot at being decent. Let's just cross our fingers and hope things turn out for the best, and, of course, keep our eyes peeled to see if there's any news about it.

1 thing i dont understand is a game creation has a deadline of...what is it 1 - 2 years if it now took like 5 - 6 years to make this game how did they have the time to make it, did they do it in secret.

Probably more like 6 years.
Regardless of how many years. This game better be awesome to make up for a lack of Max Payne.

They announced it first 2 years after releasing their last game which is normal but then were silent for a long time. I'm pretty sure they didn't plan on taking so long and I don't know what their accounts are like.

Less than Alone in the Dark, Alan Wake looks to me like the video-game version of pretty much every second Stephen King novel. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you.

I think Alan Wake looks awesome. I've never played a game set in Washington(my home state). That flashlight thing is about the only thing that looks similar to Alone in the Dark. Alan Wake will probably be good. That's the biggest difference I can think of.

I liked Alone in the Dark, but I'm hoping Alan Wake will be better.

I think I get what you are trying to say, which is that in their visual style, Alone in the Dark and Alan Wake are very similar. I also share this opinion about the two games. Now lets just hope that Alan Wake is good.

Interesting for me to only hear about this game today and there be a topic about it. Ovbiously my life is a Truman Show and this is some form of subliminal advertising.

I've never played the recent alone in the dark, nor seen an actual copy, so i wouldn't know, but Alan Wake does look epic indeed. I might check out Alone in the Dark now.
