I've got the Nintendo Wii and I'm wondering which one is the better game. Guitar Hero 4 or Rock Band 2? I've weighed the pros and cons for each but, I still can't decide which one I should buy.

Guitar Hero 4 has the guitar controller I like best but, Rock Band 2 has the drums I like best.

They are both almost the same so you are better of looking at the soundtracks and see which ones you like most

Rock Band2 has the best setlist in my opinion. I also generally like the instruments better for RB2. However, because of GH3 I have condemned Activision/Red Octane to hell.

I'd say Guitar Hero, the guitar is generally used more then the drums!

Rock band 2 because it has a better songlist but there almost the same because its a just turned into a competition to see who can rip off the other the most

Rock Band 2 is the better game, Guitar Hero has better instruments. (Better build quality on the guitars, fully rubberised drums have a much lower pitch on hit, and produce springback on the sticks much like a real drum kit).

So, get the GHWT band in a box set and Rock Band 2 on disc only.

Interesting idea.

As for me, due to lack of space where the 360 is - Only my PS2 actually has any space spare for any large new controllers being used for it. And since, iirc, on GH:WT has a PS2 format for the game I've gone with that one. :)

I personally like the Rock Band plastic instruments better. However, the games themselves are virtually identical, so the best course of action is to buy one set of instruments and 2 games.

Neither, buy a real guitar and learn how to play that.
Because that will provide exactly the same amount of enjoyment in the same space of time.

Buy a real guitar, drum set, or bass. If not, rock band 2. I can never play those slidey notes.

I believe that Rock Band 2 is better, I heard they have The Beatles DLC.

You know you want it.

Do what I did and get them separately. Costs more, but it's worth it.

Seconded.

But if you would rather play something fake then get RB2, I like the sound track more.

I'm going to get World Tour's band set, but I'm debating getting Rock Band 2. Honestly, the tracklists are barely different. I remember at PAX hearing "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters in stereo as both games blasted the song.

BTW, what is with people talking about getting a "real guitar?" Come on guys, some of us spend that time and dedication going to college to get real skills for a real job, picking up Guitar Hero so I can hit five color coded buttons for a half hour during study breaks. I also don't have to lug in an entire band to get the same sound. I can just play guitar in a game and get the entire band without the bother of hearing the upstair neighbors complain about the noise.
