Alien Swarm Tech Help!

Well, after two hours of downloading the game, I was finally going to enjoy it. As I started it up however, all I had gotten to see was my mouse and a black screen. Steam still worked via shift+tab, but other than that nothing happened. It probably is my computer (windows xp-sp), but is there a way to change thee graphic settings or something out of game? I think it would help as my video card is a Raedon 2250 I think.

Please help, thanks.

Game runs in native resolution 1360 x 768 @85HZ.
Sout the following into the launch options and use the values fitting your monitor:
-width
-height
-freq

for example:
-width 1280 -height 1024 -freq 60

Or: right click Alien Swarm in your game library. > Click Properties. > On the tab that shows up click SET LAUNCH OPTIONS. > Enter -windowed. >
