All Half-Life Games 55.8% off sale

Gamespot had a competition for the Greatest Gaming Hero, and everyone's favorite crowbar wielding scientist. Gamespot's website reports that he won 55.8% of the votes cast. So Valve has decided to celebrate with a 55.8% sale on on Half Life games. This is only on Steam though, so you can't go to retail and ask for the discount, trust me someone was thinking of it. Now if only hadn't already bought all the Half Life games.

Just remember that Half-Life is over ten years old and Half-Life 2 is now around five years old. Sometimes people go into the games expecting an enlightening gaming experience, only to come away disappointed because they have forgotten the games are now old.

You should be ok with Half-Life 2 at least, the game still holds up pretty damn well even compared to modern FPS games.

Hl2:EP2 is still amazing ep1 is very very good and HL2 itself is great. HL1 is good.
I already own every HL game released (Even HL:Source) when it was the hl10year Birthday they where 75% off so that was a major steal!

Deus Ex is still awesome and appears to be about as old as Half-Life. Plus, from what I've played of Half-Life (the first), it still holds up very well.

Although I can't imagine very many people will take advantage of this sale considering everyone who voted, and anyone who's the least bit interested in Half-Life, probably already has the games.

Well the problem is that you get a lot of little kids who's first FPS was something like Halo 2 or Gears of War and then when they go to play the original Half-Life, they whine that it sucks.

Seriously though, as much as there were characters in that battle that I would have felt better about winning (Gordon is near the top for me though ), I don't think ANY other game company that owns any of the other competing characters would have been so awesome about it. Seriously? A sale because of an internet fanboy poll? Valve IS awesome, and now Valve fanboys have definitive proof.
