Hey guys, I need a second opinion.

My dad sees me as a failure and regulary calls me stupid and goes crazy at me at everything, but never physically hurts or abuses me but makes fun of me at every turn. I am at secondary school, the standard grades i'm working for are: Foundation maths, Credit english, Credit history, Credit Modern studies, general chemistry and credit graph comm. I'm not a super smart 14 year old but just an average one.

Back to the main matter, my dad makes fun of me shouts at me as if he wants to batter me and avoids me at every possibility.

It is only until there just now I have realised, I fucking hate that bastard. Using the information about me would you say I am right to hate him or am I just a whiny teenager. You may just think this is me exagerating it but i'm really not. Anyway voice your opinions.

It's okay for you to hate him, certainly if he's affecting other facets of your life.

yeah you have a right to hate him! If he is doing that stuff for no reason, he should be hated.

He sounds like a dick when you put it like that.

I'd say you were a right about hating him a bit and being a bit of whiny teenager. But there's not really enough to go on here to judge who is right and who isn't.

...Have you ever tried telling him how you feel?

Edit: At the very least you should tell him that the way he treats you isn't making you feel any better and isn't productive, he might just be trying to motivate you but doesn't know how to do it.

Well based on what you wrote I would say yes, he doesn't sound much of a father if he only makes fun of you when he sees you.

Talk to him first. Tell him how it makes you feel. If he insists on making you feel like a stupid failure, yeah, you have every right to avoid the douchebag. But maybe talking to him would help. I say try it, and see what happens. If that doesn't work, remove him from your life. See if you can stay with a friend or something, or at least stay elsewhere most of the day and go home just to sleep, I don't know. But if there's no way to fix this situation, you don't want to stay in such a poisonous environment.

No, you are wrong for thinking this. The thought police are now being despatched to your location for thinking incorrectly.

Something tells me you spend a lot of time online and recently got into a fight with him.
Do what i always do, imagine 20 years from now when he's alone in the nursing home and you're a wealthy man, out on your deck of your boat when you get called saying he needs an operation and he cant afford it and you need to pay for it and you have his life in your hands and you make him apologize and grovel and kiss your feet before you allow him to live!! THAT'LL TEACH HIM TO MAKE FUN OF ME AND TELL MY TO BE MORE LIKE MY BROTHER!!! HAHAHAHA!!!
oh, wait sorry, got off topic.

I haven't even met him and I hate him.

It's alright if you hate him, he doesn't sound like a guy who's trying to be liked.

Bit of both really, I would say you kinda have a right to hate em (or at least mildly dislike him. Though at 14 I kinda hated everyone, could just be your hormones.

Anyway just find a good trusting curcle of mates (not a gang) that you can vent your feelings with. It should help and allow you to focus more on other areas of your life.
