Amnesia - the dark descent, I have a problem with it ;(

That is your problem right there.
That's not really a "graphics card"...ok well it is, but its basically a bare minimum card of just running stuff like video, and normal computer utilities, and what not.

While I don't know Amnesia's exact requirements, basically right now, you are trying to run a game that needs a "Ferrari" type graphics card, while you are using something equivalent to this:

If that helps get the point across =S

It isn't a particularly high-req game, even a mid-range card of today should be be fine, just verify that your motherboard has an open PCI-Express slot and go over to newegg.com or whatever and buy a card that isn't utterly terrible and you should be fine for Amnesia and quite a few other games.

You most likely will not be able to play the game due to it being a chip set. And unless you are a computer expert I would not recommend taking it apart to install a new chip set. Since Chip sets are pretty much apart of the motherboard.

A graphics card is a fairly easy component to install - have you ever mucked around with your computers internals before? There's a few things you need to know - you need to know if the motherboard is a PCI-E one, and you need to know if your PSU will flake out when you install it. Basically, to find out the former, google your motherboard with the aim of finding out what it's compatible with. for ref, my last card was an nvidia geforce 8800GT and that's a stalwart card and should be dirt cheap about now. My current card is an nvidia GTX260 and can handle most games settings on high. For extra ref, if I recall, nvidia follows this numbering scheme. if it ends in a low number eg 8000-8400 that's a budget, laptop card. 8600 would be a mid-road PC card, and 8800 would be a high performance chip. so you can extrapolate that for the 7k series and down or up to the 9k series. After the 9k series nvidia goes back to the hundreds, which is why my newer card is a 260 and my older is an 8800. Anyway, I'm rambling,but hopefully you find some of this useful.

As for your PSU, if it's a 400w PSU you're pushing it, a 600w should be fine if it's a reasonable make. They sell 800-1kw PSU's but they're utterly excessive, no need for you to trouble yourself with them. To find out if the PSU is a reasonable make, google it. However, I've been using a budget PSU for years with no problem so it's whether you want to risk it really.
