I'm depressed, people. Anarchy Reigns, yes, wasn't the best game of 2013, due to the Online Fiasco that was the Online Multiplayer, with the glitches Sega didn't even bother to fix, the OP Characters like the Rin Sisters & Bayonetta (Which could've been fixed in a patch), the trolls and terrible people that were the online community (Although there were some very nice people there as well) and not much else. Regardless, the Story Mode was still fun, the characters in Story Mode were interesting (My Favorites were Jack, Leo, Baron "Despite being silly, I didn't find him racist, just overall fun, and I'm African American, so I guess I have a thicker skin", and so on) and although I wished there was more variety, I still had fun with the game.
And now, the reason it SHOULD have gained an award, hell, even an Honorable Mention, is the Soundtrack. the only reason I see people hating this soundtrack is because they don't like Hip-Hop and Rap Music, when, to be fair, if Hip-Hop and Rap Music were more like Anarchy Reigns instead of the constant love song/sex song, "I'm so famous and rich", bull pocky that it is now, I'd be way happier, but music like Anarchy Reigns is the Underground Rap Music, not mainstream, so it is as it is. Nearly every song I like, I haven't met many people who couldn't find a song they liked, and the final battle song with Nikolai is by far one of my most favorite battle themes based on lyrics alone, let alone the music overall. My favorite though, is Days of Old, Blacker Baron's Theme (Jazz Meeting Hip-Hop should happen more often).
And yet, no one acknowledges the game, no one did anything for it, hell, even SEGA abandoned it as soon as they put the DLC that Japan had earlier, when they had so much potential for patches and newer characters... It's just disappointing, even more so that it couldn't even get nominated for Best Soundtrack in just about any place I could find.
If anyone knows someone who DID nominate it, please tell me where, because this saddens me.
