The Humble THQ Bundle is over, with 885,226 bundles sold for a total of $5,097,025.46.
5.1 million isn't a bad take, although I can't help but imagine they burned through most of it just in operating costs for the duration of the Bundle. Still! Good for THQ.

Dang.
Though I imagine that a lot of that didn't go to THQ, what with the choices to give cash to the indie bundle hosts themselves.
Still, not a bad haul. Hopefully it keeps them above ground for a bit.

I wonder how much of that actually went to THQ, and how much (if any) of that is actually helpful for them. It's more likely been used as a massive last ditch loss-leader pitch, in order to gain exposure for their upcoming launches.

If so, it'd help if they actually release a decent game.

That's a matter of opinion. Personally, I like most of their games, so I have to ask what you find wrong with them. Especially Metro 2033.

There are a bunch of companies who would never have the balls to do this. I have always loved the Humble Bundle on principle. So they made a good move with the fans, including me.

At least $10. That's how much I sent to THQ. Thought it would be reasonable, since I already owned 3 of those games.

I missed out on this, but it's nice to hear that THQ is getting some money.
I'd really like them to do well. They have Saints Row and Company of Heroes.
They've just suffered with some poor management, but they brought in a new guy for that.

well the default split is 65% to THQ and, assuming, most people don't mess around with that that runs them about 3,313,066.55 of gross profits assuming that at least some of these were already on steam and that $1 is all it takes to make profit from a steam key i'd say they did pretty well, especially considering their <a=hrefhttp://www.pcgamer.com/2012/12/03/thqs-stock-rises-nearly-40-thanks-to-humble-bundle/?ns_campaign=article-feed&ns_mchannel=ref&ns_source=steam&ns_linkname=0&ns_fee=0>stock had risen 40% by 12/3

Riiight. You do realise that company of heroes is rated as one of the best strategy games of all time? And that it picked up a half dozen game of the year awards? And that I really really like it?

Metro 2033 is also a fantastic game.

What constitutes a 'decent' game is purely subjective, so by my count I own several good games from them.

Though the rest of your post is valid, not that 5 mill is much in the business world.

I think i read somewhere that thier stock value went up due to the bundle.

So even if they didnt profit directly from it, its done them some good.

Now im currently picking through Metro 2033 and by the end of the week i may have a vested interest in Metro: Last Light.

I know my purchased didn't go to THQ. I set the bar to charity only since I wasn't happy with how they killed off red faction. Although, if they go a good job with Metro I'll be happy with them again.
