I am currently looking for new Anime to watch, but sadly every person recommends me Bleach and Naruto. Apart from disliking these series I really don't want to watch Anime I am not going to finish for a long long looooong time.
I have so far watched and loved the following Dubs in order;
Elfen Lied
Gantz
Afro Samurai
Half of Death Note (last stretch annoyed me)
Soul Eater
Full Metal Alchemist(cant stand brotherhood because of first one)
Cowboy Beebo
Samurai Champloo
Code Geass: LR 1&2

Would you kindly recommend me some Anime please?

I'd recommend Rurouni Kenshin. It's fairly old, but still one of my favourite animes.

Hellsing? Trinity Blood? Yu Yu Hakusho is a little longer than Rurouni, don't forget the OVA's of Rurouni aswell, Hajime No Ippo/Fighting Spirit, KenIchi: The Mightiest Disciple, I would give a link to AniDB for them but I'm gonna take a stab and say its against forum rules (don't post much).

I've also been watching Zero no Tsukaima recently. Its not bad.

Death Note. And FMA: Brotherhood is dozen times better than FMA. I had watched FMA twice before even knowing about Brotherhood, and the latter seemed a bit pointless to watch after, at first, but it's more than worth it to watch.

Full Metal Panic. Nothing to do with Full Metal Alchemist...(Brotherhood was way better, made way more sense). 3 seasons, about 50 eps all together.
Ruroni Kenshin. Around 90 eps and 6 OVAs. (WATCH IT DUBBED! The english voices are actually A LOT better for some reason)
Chrono Crusade is all right.
Highschool of the Dead. Really good. About 12 eps.
Durarara, a little different but good.


I read more manga just because a lot of shows like Air Gear, Hitman Reborn and Fairytale are less violent and sexual for the anime where as the manga is usually more violent and sexual.

Those three are really good mangas if you feel like heading down that path.

Chrono Crusade is pretty good and reminded me a bit of FMA for some reason and has a reasonably good dub. Also Eve no Jikan is just damned amazing, a short 6 ep series with the focus on the patrons of the titular coffee shop. AS long as you don't mind a sub this show is defiantly worth it.

High School of the dead is a pretty fun action series that plays out like the anime version of a zombie apocalypse flick with the fanservice turned to 11.It only has a sub right now but it supposed to be getting a dub soon.
