Anonymous to take down facebook on Nov 5

Ok, how does this help at all? Taking down facebook won't hurt Zynga that much(they're practically dead already) and it will just make you more enemies anonymous.

I'm pretty sure they claimed they were going to take down Facebook last year and it didn't happen then, so I'm going to have to see it before I believe it. Since Anonymous doesn't have a central authority any attention-seekers can make grandiose claims without the resources or skill to back it up.

I haven't been keeping score, but isn't this like the third or fourth time someone from "Anonymous" has threatened to take down Facebook or Google? Hell didn't they threaten to shut off the internet a few months ago? I'm pretty sure the people who make these claims for anonymous are the people who absolutely can't back them up

I guess that's the nature of Anon. You never know who's behind it. It's probably a bunch of bored people that want to make a noise.

Oh, they might try (And by "they" I mean the few actual hackers in the core of Anonymous that actually knows what they're doing). But I strongly doubt they'll manage anything. Especially when they're warning Facebook about their attacks day in advance, giving them time to make whatever preparations they need.

Fuck anonymous. Yes, they're sometimes on the right side of a cause, and sometimes help things, but really, they're just a bunch of attention whores that need to "stick it to the man" to try to justify their meaningless existence. The fact that they never actually do anything worth a damn only adds to this point. The internet would be straight up better without them, and everybody that thinks they actually help the internet in any meaningful way.
