My little brother loves playing co-op games but hates shooters.

Are there any games on the 360 or in Live arcade that you guys could recommend for us? It can be any style, as long as it's not a FPS.

I came running in here hoping to direct you to Army of Two but alas, no shooters.

Give Marvel Ultimate Alliance a go. It's actually alot of fun.

I'll be coming back if I can think of any others.

Edit: Oh yeah, Fable II is O.K.

Halo Wars (not my cup of tea but maybe yours)also has 2 player Co-op.

Do they make Dynasty Warrior games for the 360?

They are endless co-op fun.
Yes. In fact they do. I cannot believe that they slipped my mind. Definately try Dynasty Warriors. 6 is on 360 as is a new one which I can't remember the name of.

(Dino/Doritoes) dash of destruction was pretty fun, it's not co-op but you're still playing together.

'Splosion Man is the only real co-op game that isn't a shooter that has got me and my little brother playing together to completion.

Let's see what hasn't been mentioned yet that is actually good...Saint's Row 2 is not only a 3rd person shooter, there is no local co-op. Resident Evil 5 has local co-op but its is also a 3rd person shooter.
I wouldn't recommend buying Onechanbara just for local co-op as it isn't partucularly good by modern standards. It might have been a halway decent hack and slash back in the 'walk to the right' era. Rumble Roses XX is another stretch.

Kameo:Elements of Power? Guitar Hero series?Rock Band series? The Lego games? Kung-Fu Panda(it's alright as a two player game, right?)Sacred 2? Samurai Warriors series? The WWE Smackdown series? That's all that I know of being local 2-player on the X-Box 360 right now.

Ultimate alliance one is good, bbt I don't suggest you buy II. It was pretty awful.
The only other one I can really think of would be Lego Batman.
Not a shooter, really limits it down.
-edit- also, Dynasty warriors 6 and Too Human (not great, but still co-op. That's all there really is...
-edit- also, Castle Crashers.
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X (which I guess you'd probably class more as a shiiter rather than a fighter jet sim). Another one would be Bomberman: Act Zero. Gee... I'm really scraping the barrel here.

Yeah I was thinking Lego Batman actually, we had a laugh with the Star Wars one.

Coop games in general are getting harder to find, FPS have the most but even they are getting rarer (split screen in mind, but even online is mostly pvp stuff)

I can!

Buy Just Cause 2 and a piece of paper.

Then tell your brother that you'll be playing the game while he makes 1000 small origami figures.

Co-op at its best!

(Also, Dynasty Warriors is the shit)

Maybe crackdown? It's a third person shooter, but it plays more like a superhero game than, say, army of two. If memory serves, there isn't anything too bad for your younger brother in terms of content, and it's a lot of fun.

Its not out yet, but Portal 2 is rumoured for October 29th, and its got a co-op mode.. And it looks REALLY good.. Since the first one was good :D Also Castle Crashers is great, I wouldnt recommend it for someone less than 13 though.

Castle Crashers rocks co-op socks!
Yeah, Castle Crashers is just what you're looking for. A cheap, fun and replayable side-scrolling, medieval-style adventure game. One of the highest-rated arcade games.

I hope that helps you, because I've spent the last ten minutes on gamespot out of curiousity and there really just aren't that many.
