I would have given better examples. Things such as Blackadder, Monty Python, A bit of Fry and Laurie, Red Dwarf, that sort of thing is a perfect representation of British humour.

Yes. I'm Dutch and I think BBC is one of the best channels I can receive. The humor, the detectives, and the movies in particular.

I T Crowd, mostly. Merlin's alright (Thank you, Anthony Stewart Head, for being alive!), never been a huge fan of the Doctor, but hes growing on me. I'm also glad that [adult swim] managed to pick up Mighty Boosh, although it would be nice if they didn't pop back and forth from series 1 to series 3 and then an episode from series 2 . . . there's precious little continuity in that show as it is. Of course, I grew up on "Monty Python" & "Fawlty Towers" & "Are you being served?" so my opinion may be somewhat skewed.
Thank the almighty internets for letting us Americans watch something other than the abomination that is current U.S. TV programming.

Ah, but the OP's are modern BBC shows.
Hmm, good point. In that case... errr... QI!, Yes! QI is hilarious and educational!

Don't watch many "modern" BBC shows, but I'm a fan of British television, both comedy, things such as Monty Python, The Young Ones, and criminal shows, such as Inspector Frost, Morse etc.

Were Bottom, The Young Ones and Spaced shown on BBC? If so, yes.
If not. Well I did like Coupling.

Well I don't watch much British television, but when it comes to BBC-based shows I do enjoy Monty Python and I absolutely love Top Gear.

Yes, yes and no it was on channel 4. Did you ever see the American remake of Coupling, it got dropped mid series for all the right reasons.

If you like bottom and the young ones you might want to check out 'the comic strip presents' a lot of the same cast and writers and the declaration by what would become channel 4 that they were commissioning the comic strip presents led to the bbc withdrawing its rejection of the young ones. Hears a link to the first episode 'Five Go Mad in Dorset' (if you have never read/heard of the famous five books it may not be that funny).

I don't know if it is available outside of the UK, but channel 4 now put a lot of its shows and back catalogue on youtube.

'Comic Strip Presents' was comprised of 39 stand alone episodes over about twenty five years, most inbetween about 1982-87.

I'm Australian, and most of the shows I watch are British. I just prefer their humour. Stuff like the Young Ones, Bottom, Blackadder, Top Gear, Doctor Who...all awesome.

I'm an Aussie, and I love watching BBC shows. Top Gear, the IT Crowd, QI, Doctor Who and Fawlty Towers are particular favourites of mine. I've love the docos as well; always good quality and interesting.

Then again, I may be slightly biased (or indoctrinated). My dad's English, so any program from the UK became compulsory viewing when I was growing up.

I am American (though I try not to let that get me down too much) and I love BBC. It makes me wish I had cable so that I could watch it more. I love Monty Python in particular, and would love to have the entire Flying Circus series and all of the movies.

Top Gear FTW!

"Some say that in a previous life he was a muscle car and he can "drive a stick" only with his left foot. All we know is, he's called The Stig"

I'm quite fond of Flying Circus and Doctor Who. I tried getting into Fawlty Towers and Little Britain, but, meh. I'm still pissed I can't watch full episodes of Mock the Week on the interwebs.

I am a fan of Tennant's portrayal of Doctor Who, but have really only seen a few episodes.
I would like to get into Spaced, but have not the time.
