Okay Okay Okay. "Indigo Prophecy" if you're not European.

So yeah. Heavy Rain is a new game Interactive Film coming out soon for the Playstation 3 only. And it's received a lot of Anticipation from many Game Journalists for its cinematic quality and dark story. However, whats been confusing me is that there has been no mention of their previous Game Fahrenheit was just like this.

I loved Fahrenheit and will be getting Heavy Rain. But it just confuses me that its being called "New" When its all been done by another game.

Aw well, There my two cents.
So what do you think Escapist?
Also!
Anyone excited for Heavy Rain?
Anyone Play Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy?
What did you think?
Anyone want a freshly baked Pie?

Firstly, congratulations on finally reaching 1k posts :p Considering you got me onto this site, you took your sweet time :p
And, as for the Fahrenheit part:
You know I've played it :D We normally play a bit more of that game whenever there is a gaming night over at Kai's :D That game is fun :D If sometimes a little frustrating and odd.
Dammit, I/we need to complete it...

Love Indigo Prophecy, even went it went backshit in the end.

Excited enough for Heavy Rain to consider "renting" a PS3 from one of those places you rent giant TVs and renting the game.

I'll take the pie.

I'm not that much exited for Heavy Rain as it seems to take everything I loved about Fahrenheit too far.
So yeah, I did play it.
I loved it. Took me a while to finish some of the events tho. Like the bugs in the office 0.0
Sure, why not.

GZ on 1000.

Congrats on the 1000th post.

I would like a freshly baked pie, apple preferably.
I didn't play Farrenheit, except at a friend's house for a few hours, wand I didn't think it was that great.
I therefore don't plan on getting heavy rain until I've tried it at a friend's house.
And there is the shower scene to consider.

I played aand enjoyed Fahrenheit.
I would be buying Heavy Rain, if I had a PS3, but this one game will not be convincing me to buy a PS3.
Like I said, I liked Fahrenheit, but despite the critics loving it, it has been pretty much panned by gamers (which I find nicely ironic. "We want new stuff" 'Here's a completely new type of game' "It's horrible, take it away.") But anyway. The reason they're trying not to mention it is twofold, I suspect.

Firstly, to avoid association between gamers who hated Fahrenheit hating Heavy Rain for no good reason, and secondly, because the developers don't want people associating the two, since Heavy Rain is supposed to be so much more advanced and better.

It is not exactly like Fahrenheit.

Just because they both rely heavily on Quick-time events doesn't mean that they are instantly similar. The camera is different, the story is different, the way the game uses quick-time events, while similar, is a huge improvement over Fahrenheit, the way you speak to others is different, plus there are tons of little perks that makes it stand out.

And this I know from simply playing the demo.

I love Fahrenheit. In fact i went off it an hour or so ago. Heavy Rain isn't exactly like Fahrenheit, its similar (made by the same studio and that annoying man Mr David Cage).

I have indeed played Fahrenheit and I enjoyed it. I expect I'll enjoy Heavy Rain too. And can I have a pie?

Played Fahrenheit and I thought it was OK before going batshit bonkers at the end. I'll probably get Heavy rain when it comes down in price. I would prefer the pie though. Apple pie. Mmmmmm pie....
