I got MW3 at the midnight release and played it constantly. At first I was having a blast but it seemed to get stale rather quickly. I put in 8 days played so far, but already getting sick of it.

I'm considering going back to Black Ops. It just seems like every aspect is more balanced and enjoyable in that game. I put 35 days played into it and still want to play it more.

Have any of you who have been playing MW3 feel the same way and might return to BO?

Yeah that is true. Also I have to consider that all my friends have moved on to MW3. No one I know ever plays Black Ops anymore.

8 days played? Might be you're just playing one game too much. Try changing things up with a non-shooter every day or two?

After nearly 200 hours of playing any game I'd get sick of it too. And honestly is the answer to being sick of Call of Duty MORE Call of Duty?

Rent a different game, preferably something with little to no bullets in it, and enjoy that instead of just jumping into a game that's nearly identical to the one you're tired of.

THIS^^^

Maybe the reason that you're tired of MW3 is because you're just tired of call of duty all together? It wouldn't be surprising considering there's a new one every year.

I don't play FPSs so...not really lol.

You sound like you've burned out though, try a different genre for like a week.

The whole multiplayer system of MW3 turned me off to it. Black Ops' mutiplayer seemed to work better so, yeah I'll be playing more of that.

But I find non-shooters unfamiliar and terrifying!

Why stop there?
Why not go back to COD4? Back when the franchise was worthwhile.

Also. 8 days? o_O
You're worse than my brother. How can you stand to play a game that much?...
Oh right... Skyrim...
Disregard =P

Well thanks for someone actually answering the question instead of ridiculing me for how much I've played the game.

OT: Yes several aspects of Black Ops were better. I think the map design is a lot better. I feel MW3's maps are too cluttered. I'd prefer some more wide open spaces. I also was very accustomed to the AK-47, M16 of Black Ops and they just handle differently to the point where I don't like them anymore.

Um... wow.

Well, my only 2 forays into CoD were MW2 and BlOps. Both were... decent, but similar. BlOps had a better MP though. However, I also feel that those 2 games were more than enough for me, and I won't ever purchase CoD again (or at least not unless they completely overhaul the game/game engine). As it stands now, the new releases just feel like an expansion pack and I cannot bring myself to support that.

The only reason I say all that is because I did go buy BF3... it's almost as fast paced but you have so many more options. And it looks better.

Otherwise, maybe you should expand your gaming horizons a little?

You can't get much more wide open than flying a jet in BF3; come over to our side, we have planes, tanks and automobiles and I always welcome more amateur aviators (if you are on the opposite team)!

In all seriousness tho I can understand where you are coming from. I got so used to the controls, feel of the guns and map layouts in CoDBLOPS that I am still getting used to the floaty controls and getting about on the ground in BF3.

When you casually say that you've sunk 8 days of your life into a game barely a month old it takes people back. And I did answer the question, and my answer of not playing either still stands.

I enjoyed Black Ops multiplayer far more than MW3's. Only reason I haven't gone back is that I've moved platform to PS3 and don't own BlOps for it.

That said, I only really bought MW3 for the single player - BF3 has been my multiplayer game of choice and when I play MW3 MP the maps feel positively claustrophobia inducing. That's partially because I'm used to the open expanses of battlefield but at the same time; I remember being quite handy with a sniper rifle in BlOps but it seems pointless in MW3 because none of the maps have any decent expanses for a sniper to cover.

So yeah, if I *was* going to play CoD multiplayer, it'd be Black Ops. Better balance, better customisation system and better maps. (In my opinion)

Yeah I should check that one out. I did play a decent amount of Bad Company 2 and enjoyed what I played. However, after playing CoD for so long the controls are a bit hard to get used to. They feel sort of slow and clunky by comparison. Not that that is a bad thing, its just something that makes it hard to adapt. The same happened with me playing Killzone 2. I think they are trying to simulate the weapons weight and awkwardness. On Call of Duty you can do a 1080 spin with a 50 cal and fire it while in mid air. I just don't think anyone could pull off that feat in real life.
