Anyone else feel like PC keeps getting sidelined?

Maybe its always been this way or maybe I'm just imagining things but lately its really started to feel like wherever I look in the media and advertising its all about "next gen" and undermining high-spec gaming or the PC market.
Eg: Ubi developers embarrassing themselves over framerates trying to convince the console sheeple that higher FPS isn't actually better.
Eg: RPS not receiving a PC review copy of AC Unity till today and an embargo til after release.
Destiny? Yeah you're gonna have to wait until the hype is squeezed dry for "next gen" sales first.
GTA? Oh you'll get that later. Once its been out on "next gen" long enough.
At the end of the day, its not going to make me rush out to buy a new console and exclusive ransoms are dead to me on announcement. Its just a shame these will be released on PC well after the hype dies down.

Its that shadow cabal keeping the brave PC gaming freedom fighters down.
PC gaming really hasn't been more of a "thing" than it is right now so please halt with that talk, its nonsense.

Additionally I see you called console users marks...but what would you be exactly may I ask? Why is it makers of this types of threads are always so oblivious to the irony of them labeling others marks while saying the most biased, overly negative, marky comments possible? [footnote]This is all of course referring to your usage of the word "sheeple" which is incredibly arrogant, rude, and ultimately hilarious for someone making statements such as yours (but most importantly its rude). I understand this is a "PC site" so you think there are "accepted targets" you can fling mud at but please show some class. You can make your point without labeling the people, this isn't youtube comments. Now thank you, have a lovely day.[/footnote]

Isn't PC gaming booming these days, don't they normally get indies first a la Steam (and pretty much only on Steam to boot), don't they usually have their own exclusives which no other platform gets (you know like Star Citizen?), I don't see there being any sort of issue because I've always seen the media marketing consoles for decades now, hell even handhelds and I also see Intel/HP/MS/Apple adverts plenty of times so I don't know what your main gripe is, unless of course you;re talking about ultra specific marketing then I really can't see that happening because the general opulus has shown they aren't interested in that enthusiastic type of market.

If anything I see PC becoming over saturated with games from copy cats to blatant rip offs, especially when it comes to indie games, the PC spectrum has plenty of games and combined together they have more than every single gen of consoles, I really can't see them ever getting sidelined, what I'm guessing and going to take a crack at, you're wanting PC to get the entire limelight and way more press than a console, it seems that way given how as was noted by Rozalia1 that you called console owners "sheeple", that itself is quite insulting and telling of your entire view and does hint some jealousy and hate for a side you have no stake or part in.

In short, no PC is not getting sidelined, there's plenty of youtubers out there sporting PC only content and reviews, plenty of PC only sites brimming with PC news and then there's Steam, GoG, origin and Uplay on the PC side as well as GMG.

What I wish for though is for these type of threads to stop being made after every few weeks, every time I end up seeing some news on Ubisoft, EA or MS there's always going to be "why do PC users get screwed, why are we not top dog?" type thread, I fail to see their significance because they generally don't go anywhere and are sparked by hate/ignorance and always end up creating a mini console vs PC war out of them due to the mix of hate/ignorance.

I'm a longtime PC exclusive player (latest console was the first Playstation)and I have to disagree.
I could wish for more PC games out in stores, where consoles have total domination and PC games are relegated to a single shelf,
but PC games rule the online market by orders of magnitude thanks to Indie games and ..brr.. steam/uplay/origin.
There are some bad ports to PC, though I don't think I have ever heard of a port to console actually?

Consoles will always lag behind in terms of hardware for the simple reason that they need to recoup manufacture, sales and marketing costs.
Not to mention that moving to fast would create listlessness and apathy amongst buyers.
Having that "stable" position should actually enable them to concentrate on making games more fun, at least in my view.
