Hello, escapist! I barely make off topic posts, but in times of need, I count on you, guys.
Thing is, I'm a comic artist, a rather unknown comic artist, should I say, but trying to get there.
Thing is, I wanted to make a voice acting episode for my latest work, or an audio drama if you want to call it like that, I cannot bring myself to call it AD since it's a comical webcomic, but I digress.
I'm making the script for this Audio Drama or however you wanna call it, and I'm looking for people interested in making the voices for it.
If any of you is into voice acting, and feel like helping a poor lad, I'd like to ask for your assistance. The story in question have 4 characters voices in it, and I have already one of them covered by a great friend of mine, but if anyone wants that role, feel free to try it out.
In order to prevent needless publicity, I can send those interested any info regarding this comic through PM, but to have an idea of the characters I will be needing, I can give you the basic profile:
1- Male lead: Bashful, naive, kind of chirpy. 20 years old.
2- Female Lead: Stoic, smart, determined, and if it's any relevant, she's lesbian. 21 years old. This one is going to be made by a singer friend of mine, but feel free to ask about the character.
3- Male support: Strict, loving father, somewhat serious. 64 years old.
4- Female support: Simple minded, reckless, joyful. 23 years old.
This is a short story about how the main lead characters met, which in the comic is barely mentioned, this one will go in detail. Support characters have limited lines, but are the hardest for me to find good voices for, since one it's an old man, and the female support needs to be African American, to have the tone, I'm not making an stereotype here, mind you, just need the tone of voice, like the old man.
I live in a country that doesn't speaks English natively, so I cannot do this myself, since I can't hide my accent, so I'm relying on anyone who's willing to help. This work won't be for sale, so there's no money involved, and since I'm a broke artist with a day job, paying is a bit out of scope for me, so my apologies for not being able to compensate you properly. Needless to say, everyone will go fully credited for their assistance, so don't worry about that.
In any case, if you're into this and feel like giving a hand, please send me a PM so we can talk about it in full detail. In case this helps, the story is set on the US, but I try to keep the English as neutral as possible, to make it easy to follow to most people, I'll fill you in if you want to ask about it, like I said, through PM.
