I was surprised yesterday when I went to Best Buy with a friend and saw a 3DS on display. Of course, I immediately had to try it so I gave it a go. They had Pilotwings in, which was quite fun. I really enjoyed Pilotwings 64 and the original so I was eager to see this one. The screen was nice and clear and even though it wasn't the most impressive looking game, it still looked nice. The analog slider was also a godsend.
Naturally the thing I was curious about the most was the 3D. It took me a minute to adjust the slider and get into a spot where it worked. It wasn't comfortable to play once I found it because they had it bolted down really low and I'm 6' 2" so I had to bend over. However, I have to say I was really taken back by the 3D effect. I don't typically like 3D but this was totally different. Instead of it looking like layer coming out at you, it really looked like you were looking into a real 3D space. It did actually help me judge depth and distance.
My friend was also very impressed. So I was wondering if anyone else has played it yet and what their impression was if they did. I know the 3D can come across different for different people so I was curious.
