im probably gonna sound like a noob here but when i try to run things like the elder scrolls: arena or Ultima underworld the framerate is ridicilously slow and the mouse is very sluggish. this extends to the point of unplayability.

is there a way to fix it or does my ROM just suck?

What computer are you using, and what speed are you running DOSBOX at? How much do you know about DOSBOX?

Also, are you configured to use Soundblaster? Sometimes that messes things up, too.

Press Ctrl + F12, until your cycles are at about 10'000, as seen in the upper right of the window, before you've actually started the game. That usually does it for me. Adjust if the game is to slow or fast ( if the sound is skipping).
