Hello fellow escapist. I was just wondering if someone had an closed beta account they didn't want to hold on to. I've been rather intrigued by this game and I want to test it. I know the open beta starts soon, but I got couple of friends I'd like to play with tonight.

I was also wondering what you people thought about the game so far, what was it like before it became Reloaded. I never tried it. Is it a game you would recommend? I've just noticed it now recently and I am curious to this. I've heard it has loads of customization for those who like that, which I do.

Anywho, if someone has one and doesn't use it I'd appreciate it. If not, what do you think about this game?

I'll save you the time: Skip it.

The game concept sounds like a good idea, and in reality it could be. G1st made the HUGE mistake though of making it an open world PvP RPG. The only thing to do is join PvP missions which means you will either be outclassed or outnumbered EVERY TIME. If you manage to lose consistently and scrape at the bottom of the barrel until max level you will get a decent weapon that does enough damage, but by then you've lost 200+ fights and are really sick of the game. There is no PvE, no way to gain experience OTHER than PvP.

It's not a shooter, not in the least. The bullets do RPG similar damage where your level 1 gun does around 5 damage and the level 40 gun does 45. Hackers are already rampant in the closed beta as well, meaning the majority of the people on the top of the ladder are hackers. Sniper rifles also completley ruin the gun play, leading to people just camping around corners and waiting to snipe people...unless you're not max level, then you're just dying from sniper bullets and failing miserably.

The driving is horrible, there's no response at all and touching something will cause major damage. The "bad guy" renegades also get points for causing destruction, meaning they can cause a huge mess and if you want a reward as the cops you're stuck tip-toeing through while they capture all the objectives. The objectives are horrible as well, spawning them next to the team trying to capture the point and clear across the map from the team that needs to defend. I played it for 2 weeks and never won a single match because A: My gun couldn't do any damage and B: the objectives kept spawning elsewhere.

Bottom line: This game sucks. Not only is it PvP oriented and therefore sucks by default, but it's PvP oriented to the point of if you're not already max level you never will be. New players may rarely, and VERY rarely get linked up with a fair game, but that happened once to me in 2 weeks of straight beta testing. Our team STILL lost because of the dumbasses on my team trying to play it CoD style. Reloaded deserves to be buried with ET and Superman 64, because the concept and delivery is just as bad.

Thanks for the great reply, I'll have to reconsider it then. Seeing as you don't feel for the game, is it possible that I could try out your beta account? Unless you've tied it to something important though, I just want to try it with a couple of friends before I rush into it something I would hate.

But is the pvp the ONLY thing? That sounds rather bad, but I love pvp though. It's what I liked about WoW and what I like about games such as TF2, Unreal, CS and all those games. It seems the villain side of the factions does have it rather easy compared to the others, that doesn't seem balanced. But I guess they get some kind of other reward perhaps?

Hackers is something I..could endure... I guess, not sure. Won't patches fix this? It did for most other games with cheaters in them. Anywho, I really want to try it to make an opinion myself. The concept sounds really promising, but so does most games these days...
