Well we all know the story of how Samsung has to pay Apple 1 billion because the court ruled against them for infringing on 6 of Apples "patents". Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee responded by sending 30 trucks full of 5 cent coins to Apple headquarters in California with a cheeky message to boot.

" You can use your coins to buy refreshments at the little machine for life or melt the coins to make computers, that?s not my problem, I already paid them and fulfilled the law.

A total of 20 billion coins, delivery hope to finish this week."

Edit: Pfft well so much for that sensationalist story. Allegedly this story is a hoax, though it would have been excellent if it were true :/

A few years ago, a college kid in michigan paid his full tuition in 1$ bills, over 25000$, and they did a news story on it, and I laughed and laughed. But now its all like chicken pot pie with charmin ultra strong as filling.

Samsung should totally do that, provided the payment hasn't gone through yet. I would've loved to see Apple has some downside to this ridiculous win they've got.

The sheer amount of trucks for those 20 BILLION coins.

Also, I doubt there are 20bn coins in existence.
I can dream. Especially if they said "screw this" to the trucks and just sent it via catapult.

At 2.5 grams per nickel, you're also looking at a ludicrous amount of weight of 50 billion grams, or 50,000 metric tonnes.

I was thinking that this was too awesome to be true. Turns out it was. Oh well, maybe this hoax will give Samsung some ideas.
