I think that dog's are getting smarter. They fit all the genetic criteria: They eat meat (Which, against what Veggitarians believe, Evolutionists believe that meat increases brain power), they are begining to like the little dresses they wear A.K.A. Social Clothing, and they know what's right and wrong. My dog is a genius. He knows when it's time for his desert. He eats a veriety of foods. He notices when something goes wrong (Or at least looks that way). He is loyal and friendly. I also read a story today about how a dog tried to drive a car (Probobly accidently though, he hit a building), and I've seen numuroes videos where dogs can sound like they're talking. I think that dogs are evolving into the next Human-like race. Could it be we're pampering them to be the next Humans?

Wow. A dog watching Animal Planet. All sarcasm aside, that's pretty funny.
If dogs are getting smarter, my dog is behind the times.

If this is trie we need to kill all dogs now before its too late. Then we can sell them for food thus solving world hunger

Well, for what it's worth my Dog can a remember the spot were he chased his first lizard. So when ever we go out he gives it a quick look to make sure no lizard is there. That's pretty smart to remember something that's 4 years old.
I say this because my Mom's dog back when she was kid wouldn't come to it's own name XD

hey, there smart enough to freeload their whole life without any work (gun dogs are actually doing something they like) and they get fed, pampered, and get to do anything that doesn't piss us off.

That dog needs to be checked, if not tested on.

Dogs are smart but the whole them trying to talk is just them copying us. We are their pack now, so why act like dogs when we give them more attention if they act like us? We wear clothes and force it on them, eventually they don't care and may enjoy it. We eat a variety of meals, so they get spoilt for choice and want something that smells nicest since they don't taste like we do. They act like they're trying to speak accidentally or because they're trying to replicate us. All those videos on dogs trying to talk are a tiny percentage. Its maybe 10,000 videos are the MOST, out of something like a billion dogs? Tiny faction.

I love dogs so that wasn't a rant, I consider both of my dogs intelligent, they know when they haven't been given all the treats I took out of the tin. They know when they should be fed, they know my footsteps compared to other people's. Dogs are smart enough, in my opinion, if they got smarter, they'd be too human. We love dogs because they give love unconditionally, are always happy and friendly, and make our lives better. If they got smarter they'd be more like humans which would make they entirely different.

Leave dogs as they are. Dogs still know when humans are in danger and do astonding acts to save them. Like that dog who's owner was badly injured after falling out of their wheelchair in the middle of nowhere. The dog dragged the person into the recovery position before taking out their phone and holding it to their face like it had been taught. But after doing what it was taught it ran all the way to the man's house and barked until a neighbour came out. The neighbour thought it had gotten lose and tried to collar it so it ran away to get someone else. It led the other guy to its owner and saved him. Seriously, that is intelligence, but it is enough.

Dogs aren't getting smarter. People are getting dumber, so dogs look smarter by comparison.

By comparison Dogs are much less intelligent then Wolves (there direct ancestors) by comparison. So when dogs start to get as smart as Wolves I'd be interested...

Quality mate. Seriously though, I'm worried about some of the posts on this thread.
