To be honest the title says it all, I am looking at expanding my repertoire and I've never played any JRPG ever. So does anyone know if there are any on the PC and are they worth buying?

Dark Souls, but that's more of an Action RPG. It's kinda hard finding JRPGs on a platform that the Japanese don't have an interest in developing for. :-(
Not a single one? Not Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts or Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross or Shin Megami Tensei or the Tales series, Phantasy Star, The World Ends With You, Pokemon, Disgaea, Xenogears/Xenosaga/Xenoblade Chronicles... ? Have you never owned a console before?
Two I could say have already been mentioned, but Final Fantasy VII has a PC release, I believe it's even on Steam now. It looks dated and all, what with being from 1997, but still. Other than that... I don't really know, outside of using emulators.

It's got a really weird, obtuse combat system that has an extremely steep learning curve. Even by JRPG standards. The story is kind of boilerplate JRPG fare, interesting and convoluted but not really anything groundbreaking.DazZ. said:

All JRPGs made by the same company. Very cheap on Steam(I think each is $5 mayabe even less). Very hilarious. Like Earthbounds "Talk to every NPC you can find for a good laugh" kind of funny.
