I've been having a little trouble sleeping tonight, and it turns out I've been spending quite a bit of time pondering over dreams. There's been countless professionals theorizing about dreams for hundreds of years, but all we really know about them (well, all I really know about them) is they're discrepancies in REM sleep that manifest themselves as images, usually familiar, commonly bizarre, that apparently only last a few seconds but can seem to drag on for hours.
I suppose I'm just trying to broaden my view to other people's interpretations of dreams. I have friends who can read so far into dreams it's almost scary (ex. I had a dream I was on the moon and I ran out of oxygen and was dying of hypoxia. She told me I was feeling, since I had recently moved and started a new course in school, like I was feeling suffocated by my studies in a strange environment, and I should take weekend trips back to my hometown more often), and other friends yet who mostly ignore their dreams and brush them off as just that night's stage act.
What do you think of your dreams? What do you dream about? Do you try to extract anything from your dreams? Do you even remember your dreams, because I usually don't and I'm starting to feel left out. I'd like to hear your opinions nonetheless. Thanks.
