are you excited for Halo 4?

are you excited for halo 4? being a big halo fan, halo 4 has not won my affection yet. the whole new trilogy seems like a desperate cash in to me. a way of being like "oh well remember how u finished the fight? well nope now you have a whole other trilogy!" anyone else feel this way?

Microsoft is one of the largest corporations in the world. Aside from their (ample) philanthropy, everything they do is a cash-in -- that's their MO. That's why Bungie left. It's incredibly tough to be a creative person and be told to make the same thing over and over. They were sick of being the Halo Assembly Line.

I'm sure Halo 4 will be a competent shooter, but the series is way past its prime.

As excited as I am for MW3, BF3, Men of Gear War Three Space Marine, etc. I'm just not that loyal to any one shooter series as long as its fun and I'm able to run it. Seeing as my most recent shooter was Red Orchestra 2 (and I have some serious money issues in my close financial future) I'm probably going to experience these games in the 2nd person through friends who own copies.

I honestly enjoyed the first and second Halo games. I played through 3 and Really didn't like it. And I tried the drop troopers one and couldn't play more then a few hours without giving up from being bored. I haven't even tried Reach yet. The series has lost its appeal to me. Maybe I'll try Reach and any new Halo games sometime, but only after other stuff I care about has been played and its worth a shot then.

Also I'm not one of the online/multiplayer types. I play them and other games for the solo experience. So games catered and trying to sell the multiplayer stuff usually has no appeal to me. This is why I am not getting Gears 3. The first one was decent to me, I enjoyed the second one a bit. But my friend told me he played through the solo game of Gears 3 in less then 10 hours, which kills it for me. Maybe I'll pick it up after several months when a used copy is marked down to about 20 dollars or so. Till then not worth the time just like any more Halo games.

I am, I always like the Halo series and I kinda want to see where they go from here.

Though I would rather see more of the Halo universe and not just John 117

If it is a complete revamp of the series then yes if it just an attempt to recreate the magic bungie gave the series then no 343 need to make it there own otherwise I am just not interested. might pick up halo anniversary at some point though.

Yes, I have every other halo game and each one offered my hours of entertainment. I'm exited just to have another adventure with the chief again.

I like the Halo series, but when I heard there was going to be a Halo 4, the palm met the face. Just a money milker if you ask me, and its up to 343 to make me change that view.
