I actually plan on buying one, as long as the reviews are good and it holds up to its standards.

Nope. Not interested in the slightest. The only portable console I've had was the Gameboy Advanced, and that barely interested me. Handheld consoles are not for me.

I've got my PC for my desktop gaming needs, and I'm sure I could dig up my old GameBoy if I felt the craving for gaming-on-the-fly.

I do hope that there will be a new Starfox title for the 3DS.

The last real Starfox game was Starfox Command.

Since I've enjoyed every other handheld Nintendo has thrown at me so far, yes.
I plan on getting a hold of one as soon as funds/release dates allow.
I am rather optimistic about it, and its potential lineup of games.

Day one. I'm trading in my DS Lite for one. There's a new Professor Layton game for it... no way I'm missing that. Plus, Metal Gear Solid 3? On the go? Nintendo, I'm once again in love with you.

i very much doubt it. though there are some games on it i would like to play, they aren't majorly important ones that will make my buy a 3DS to play them

Maybe just because I haven't bought a portable gaming device in a very long time but not BECAUSE it's the 3DS so much as I just need to upgrade and might as well get the latest thing.

From what I heard, the games coming out for it are interesting but I don't like the idea of ads, constantly leaving it on, and having 3 useless cameras.
